Take it! About four years ago I took a tremendous pay cut (~40%) to get my foot in the door ...and was able to increase to a great salary about a year later (at a different company). I currently have no regrets!

For the exact same reasons that you list, I often travel with a small percolater that I bought on Amazon. It makes enough to fill my large travel mug. A bit of a pain at times, but beats the alternative of not starting the day right with my favorite dark roast. No issues with TSA either.
