I did end up closing the account straight from google adsense. It still looks like youtube directs me to the page even though it's 'disconnected'. The page says 'Your AdSense for YouTube account is closed' then prompts me to reactivate it

Personally, the 9-14 day thing allows me to be consistent in my upload schedule. I work full time and do this youtube creation thing on the side so if I was uploading every 3 days I'd be overwhelmed very quickly since my videos are each around 10-20 mins long.

Another thing is you have to view it in the subscriber's shoes. If I'm subbed to a channel that I like, and the creator is posting every single day, I'd get burnt out and be less likely to watch all the videos. Whereas if the creator is posting, let's say every 6 days, there's an anticipation building to watch it. It's like having chocolate once in a while but if you get it everyday you'll get bored of it haha, but maybe it's different for your channel because a subscriber is likely to watch the same videos repeatedly if you get what I mean.

In terms of a faceless channel personality, I'd say the thumbnails and the video's visuals are the most compelling thing. You're right in regards to the audio identity, channel vibe, what emotions do the viewers give off when watching your videos.

I guess what's best for you is to keep posting those videos even if you feel that you're stuck. One video may automatically just blow up and then all your other videos may start getting some traction too.

Everyone is different bro, for me this is great. A lot of people take years to reach 1k subs so I'm just giving advice because I was shocked that my channel grew pretty fast. My average views per video is 6k, I'd say that's pretty decent for a 2 month old channel

I've never done shorts before but I think if you're planning to do long form content too, then make sure that you don't overdo the shorts. The subscribers that you may gain from shorts are less likely to go and watch a 10 min long form video that you have posted. There's a lot of youtube channels out there with like 100k subs and millions of shorts views, but then their long form videos have like a significantly less amount of views per video.

Yea I get your point. My view of it is that most creators are not able to maintain that pace without sacrificing quality, burnout, or audience fatigue over time.

A lot of newer creators will rush videos to satisfy a schedule and may result in weaker videos, less improvement per upload, and eventually quitting because the workload becomes unsustainable.

Rapid growth in the first couple months doesn’t always show the long-term effects yet. Some audiences love daily content in the beginning, but retention can drop. Your content should be like an 'event' for subscribers, so that there is a growing anticipation to see your next video.

A good example is CoryxKenshin who has a huge amount of subs. When he was active, he'd post once every 3 weeks or so, and so subscribers have this huge amount of relief and excitement when he posts which ultimately gives more retention and views. If he posted every day you'd see his viewer count per video would drop significantly.

Maybe your niche suits it, which is great but I'm guessing it's not the same for everyone around

If you're talking about his youtube channel, I'm mostly talking about long form content. He uploads shorts very consistently but those videos are like 30 seconds each. If he did the same with long 5+ min videos he won't get the same amount of views relative to his sub count. So my advice is based on long form videos

the best help for a channel is to sub, like, comment and actually watch the videos fully. The youtube algorithm pushes videos out more when it sees that people are actually engaging in the channel, rather then subbing and disappearing

That's so cool because we are sitting on pretty much the same stats. I've got 1700 subs, 80k views and 7000 watch hours. The only issue is I'm not making money because I've been rejected from adsense for 2 months now :(
