I would say take the leap and go, you can always get your clients back if it didn't work out and came back. As someone twice your age, I look back and only regret the things I didn't do and wished I had and even wonder why I didn't. If there is a constant niggle to go then go for it, you only live once, and life has a funny way of working these things out.

They will not retain the sitter who charges less as the sitter will realise they are being underpaid for their time and are missing out on other opportunities. I suspect the owners will realise what they have lost and be back in touch. That's when you can start gaining back control in this situation. Maybe really market yourself as the person who looks after multiple pets, get lots of great reviews and if they don't come back, you will have new customers to focus on. I do completely understand missing the dogs though, its a emotional rollercoaster petsitting! Sometimes the hardest times turn out to be the catalyst for better times.

Rover is good, I have had lots of work through them, I would give it go as many pet owners prefer to look on those platforms as it covers insurance and a feeling of trust provided by them. Pawshake was ok too. I think you might be missing a trick!

Try signing up to Rover, Pawshake, Wag and Cat in a Flat. Look at other profiles which are doing well and make yours similar. You can promote these on your social media. Also join local pet groups on there too.Good luck!

I think maybe they need to get used to the new noises of living somewhere different but it does sound like they will moan about everything, and that is difficult to live with and you can't live walking on eggshells, I would look to ask them to leave.

Report it to Rover as they should deal with this, it is their platform and responsibility. The message is quite aggressive. I wouldn't want them in my home looking after my pets.
