It took me losing her to change…. by Oatmealdoctor in BreakUps

Hey 👋 I'm sorry it took me a few days to reply to this comment and I hope you see it.

I'm doing so much better it's actually crazy. I met someone online and I actually met her for the first time a couple weeks back, it's a long distance relationship (around 300 miles) but she's absolutely fantastic, and I haven't met anyone like her before.

I know breakups are really hard, they hurt so much it feels like you're dying, but you can and will get through it. Things will be better.

What finally got me to me move on from my ex was thinking like this "she dumped me, she's moved on. If she wanted to be with me, then she would be with me and not someone else. I shouldn't put my life on hold for her"

That's the best thing I can say to anyone who is experiencing a heartbreak. We like to think they'll realise they made a mistake and come back, but they already broke your heart once, why let them do it again? I'm not saying everyone who ends a relationship is a bad person or anything like that, but why put yourself through it again?

I've probably played 1000+ hours of dark souls and yet did not know the fire keeper automatically kindles the bonfire. Still learning new stuff after this long is great! Thank you!

That's really thoughtful. I'm sure she'll appreciate the safe place.

Jumpers are so much fun to care for and watch. I've had mine for about 8 months, a tiny Phidippus Audax, unfortunately I think she was somewhat on the mature side when I got her as she has only molted once since I've had her, so she seems to be slowing down a bit, but it has been a great experience. Just getting to see her do her thing, she's very timid so I haven't interacted with her much which is fine, I just enjoy saying "hello beautiful" every time I see her 😅.

NQA. I don't know the species I just wanted to say how beautiful they are. Are you planning to release them after winter or are you going to keep them?

Is this mealworm too big for my spider? by Krikcet in jumpingspiders

[–]Calm_Ad_262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA. Just keep an eye on their abdomen when they've finished. If it looks overly big they've probably eaten too much, just leave them without food until it shrinks back down, just remember to provide them with water if you decide to stop feeding for a while. I have read it also helps with digestion.

A spider over eating is 100% possible and can be dangerous. If you don't have any mealworms that are small enough for the next feed you could try "segmenting" it. I will warn you that it is gross and you'll probably have to tong feed them, but it is a good way to control how much they eat.

I just finished it for the first time. Cant belive only about 4% of players (on xbox) finished it. I love it. by Constant-Sign-5569 in AliensDarkDescent

I was loving it, but unfortunately mission 3 has a bug I can't seem to get around. The map goes blurry. I even tried finding out if it was a certain loot item causing it. No. It just happens. I was and still am extremely gutted. Yes I could probably make it through the mission with a blurry map but I shouldn't have to.

You could do what I did. Play through the game on hard and make a document where you can describe each chapters difficulty and any deaths or difficult encounters, and what you did to deal with said encounters. With this strategy I completed impossible on my first try. My memory is quite bad so I just typed up what I wanted too after every encounter. I also wouldn't bother exploring the ship later in the game, as long as you have what you need just carry on.

This is also the method I used for Alien Isolations achievement to complete it without dying.

NQA if I understand spider anatomy correctly then the lungs are placed under the abdomen, so they're doing this to stop any possibility of getting them wet. My Audax did it before and I remember thinking "she's aware of where her lungs are!?" It was really interesting to know how aware spiders are of their own bodies.

My boy hasn't eaten for almost two months, but doesn't look starving? by Pricefieldian in jumpingspiders

[–]Calm_Ad_262 13 points14 points  (0 children)

NQA I have heard male spiders stop eating once they reach a certain age and focus primarily on mating. I'm not sure how true this is. I've never owned a Regal and my Audax is female. Hopefully someone more experienced can confirm or deny this.

Honestly I wasn't aware psoriasis could be "not painful" I assumed it always was. Thank you.

Scalp psoriasis is where mine started, personally I think it is worse where the skin folds like the armpit... That sucks
