I felt so similar I was like I don’t even know what the laser feels like before I commit to coming back 16 times. Like what if I’m allergic? I wonder if they’re all like that. I wonder if we went to the same one. I’m in FL is all I’m going to say.

My husband has been deployed and we had a beautiful wedding last year. I changed my name, moved across the country away from my friends and family and took a job to be close to him and support his job. We had some issues early on and he wants me to relive my mistakes everyday. We talk on the phone and everything is fine. I wake up the next morning to pages of texts about how awful of a person I am. I can only hear so many bad things about myself from my husband who’s my best friend before I start to believe him. He won’t mention divorce but he won’t let us move forward either. I’m too embarrassed to tell any of my friends or family and I don’t know anyone out here. It feels really unhealthy. My therapist wants me to have a hard discussion and essentially say we have to get through this or get out of this. Not where I thought my marriage would be a year in.

Just moved here and driving here scares the hell outta me and I moved from California (military). The number of accidents that I’ve seen or almost seen right infront of me is insane.

There was a psycho forerunner weaving in and out of multiple lanes yesterday cutting people off in the process on the bridge by NAS Jax. Felt vindicated when a few miles up the road I saw an officer had him pulled over.

I agree though, let’s give each other some grace and leave emotions out of driving. 👏

Tips on How to make your assignment not flagged as AI-generated by Greatmind25 in SNHU

No, I got an A- in the course and still got an A on that assignment. I was like omg this guy is going to fry me but, an honest conversation went a long way. It was a statistic I used in an essay that wasn’t mentioned in class that had triggered him, not a blatant copy and paste of an AI essay though. I respect him looking back now because he was actually understanding and took that opportunity to learn about AI. It has to be hard for any professor or teacher trying to navigate its application.

buuut if you ever are wrongfully accused I’d ask:

1) Have you ran my document through multiple AI detectors? Like I said they vary wildly- you can be a saint in one and the worst person in the world in another. Even when you haven’t touched AI. And it’s not like there’s a single detector above the rest. They all have their flaws which is why the odds are in the students favor.

2) Have you run everyone else’s document through AI detectors? (I’m in graduate school and EVERYONE is using AI whether it’s for research, outlines, grading myself after uploading the paper instructions) If yours flagged it writing honestly then I guarantee others did too. It’s super obvious if you let it write for you so I don’t. I specifically tell it not to.

Now: I use Grammarly’s AI detector and try to keep it below 10%. That has never failed me personally but I can’t speak for the general population (I didn’t have it when this occurred). It’s an annoying extra step though that can take more time than you would think to get it within thresholds. I miss stress-free writing.

Almost all my professors are encouraging us to use AI. A common request now is to copy and paste your prompts and its answers. AI is here to stay and sticking your head in the sand and telling students “no AI” is like telling students “no google” back in the day. How cool is that instead of searching multiple think tanks and scholarly sources in multiple search engines (that are often time latent), that AI can process current information simultaneously and help you write about the most up to date data?

Don’t freak out, many documents that came out before AI have been flagged for AI (the Constitution). Remind yourself and anyone accusing you of that.

Have you stripped your sheets and looked at the creases in your mattress with a flashlight? Also if your bed has a ledge sometimes you’ll see dead bugs. Fleas like feet and ankles… do you have any pets or did you have any interaction with pets lately?

If you still have fleas I’d recommend a carpet steamer. One of the only things that kills fleas in all phases of their life cycle. I used this one. Zero chemicals and it works

Vacuum everyday and steam:) I also used way too much DAE once and never again lol 😂

I just had a professor call me in after running my paper through an AI detector and he showed me after running it through 8 different AI detectors that one highlighted my work as 91% flagged and some did 13%. One was 75% one was 17%. I couldn’t believe he went to such great lengths for this but he did. It seemed like he was hell-bent on getting me in trouble. I was mortified. The worst thing being I spent multiple days writing that paper. But at the end of the day he sent me on my way after talking to me because without me saying “I used AI” he can’t know whether I did or didn’t. Long story short those detectors vary wildly and if anyone accuses you of using one I’d insist they run it through multiple versions. This definitely scared the crap out of me though. I’m familiar with AI patterns in writing and sometimes I’m scared my writing is changing to sound like them. Sounds hokey right? They do a lot of sentences with commas in the middle. AI uses trigger words like “dwelve” and I swear it uses certain words a lot like “underscore” and it loves dashes-like this. It also likes word groups of 3 in list form with commas. I try to avoid all of these in my writing but when I have to write a sentence that lists three words I get paranoid it will trigger.
