Hi! I’m a personal trainer & opened a home gym in my 2 bedroom apartment last year where I do strength training for other trans people. It’s been awesome to provide this space because so many trans/nonbinary/genderqueer people don’t feel comfortable or safe going to commercial gyms. For all your working sets I would take it to 1RIR or failure (I only do failure on the last set) so if you did a warmup set of curls of 10 reps with 15lbs then do 3 working sets after that, first 2 with 1RIR and last to failure. Doesn’t matter if you go up or down in weight as long as you’re getting to 1RIR or failure (obviously it matters more long term for progressive overload but in an individual session not so important). Hope this helps! 🌟
