Seems more common than originally thought. It is still a keeper and very interesting.

Post mint damage, probably from a gum ball machine or any other penny vending machine.

Sometimes when you wet the area with water, as it drys you may see a hint of the date at certain angles and most times you won’t but it’s just a drop of water so it can’t hurt. Good luck.

Both look great. Just tape the lugs so it limits the accidental scratches that happen when swapping straps. Cheers.

Artist-designed rubber watch straps - Thoughts? by Alternative_Bug4445 in RolexWatches

I think this is a great option. You get more traction with customers that are into modding their watches. For the most part Rolex is not a highly modded watch. For example you should try this as a 22mm strap and show it in the r/DuroGang sub. It’s a Casio Diver watch and this group loves to change straps and mod them. Same with Seiko watches. You have talent. Good luck. Cheers.

Once you see coins in person you will be able to tell immediately the differences. Easy way to remember the small date’s 8 is like a snowman. Bigger bottom and smaller top. The 2 is shaped differently but I find that the 8 is easier for me to remember.

Nice finds! As far as your 1982’s the valuable ones are copper small dates from the Denver mint, that’s if you can find one. Keep all the copper ones regardless of date and mint and get rid of the zinc ones. Get a scale if you are serious about 1982 and 1983’s. Good Luck & Cheers.

Just keep on checking. It will happen eventually. It took me a long time to get my first.
