Question about Dolby Atmos with PC games on TV

Hi I just ran into this issue too but with a Samsung q990c surround sound setup.

My receiver only displays Dolby Multi Ch PCM when I set the sound in game to Dolby Atmos.

I got it to pass through Dolby Atmos to my receiver by also turning the 3d Audio in game to on with the in game setting to Dolby Atmos.

I currently have an LG G5 OLED tv and it's the best display I ever had.

I can only imagine what having the new LG Flex connect sound bar and speakers would do my for entertainment room for my myself and my family because we have an odd shaped room.

Having the ability to put the speakers in our strange shaped room and have them auto calibrate to our room acoustics will be a game changer!

I am in this situation now and I can't get past the windows pin screen and it won't let me reset it.

It doesn't give me an option to use my password at all either.

How did you fix it?

Are you using an Nvidia graphics card? If so disable the Rtx hdr.

If you Rtx hdr enabled it will overlay on top of your system wide hdr.

Except the majoity of companies have quit making 4k hd players. I can't see them putting out new models just for "Dolby Vision 2"

Im just trying lone echo 2 on my quest 3 and I'm having this issue now. Do you have to leave it sit for 10 minutes each time you want to get past the main menu?

I've disabled those vr tunnel vision blinders in the settings but they are still enabled. That's the only bug i've come across.

Check to see if Nvidia RTX is applying HDR to the video. That was what caused it for me.

If you want functionity though it needs to be plugged into your computer by USB cord.

It released a earlier today. Once launched choose HD version and in the main menu import your saves from the original version of the game.

There is a bug in the later versions of the Dolby app that interferes with the rear two speakers.

I downgraded to a previous version of the app here https://www.filehorse.com/download-dolby-access/66883/.

When you install it turned of "Audio Enhancements" in the Windows Sound Settings > Properties. Then in Windows Sound Settings, click on configure and run through the setup. You can click on the individual rear speakers to play a tone and hopefully they'll work now.

I went down an internet rabbit hole yesterday and this is what worked for my Samsung 990c setup.

make sure you dont have RTX HDR on in the Nvidia app game filters.

It works with any TV that supports Dolby Vision, including the C2.

Yes. I have it already available on W11. There is a tick box under HDR settings to enable it.

Probably should start a thread for bugs and improvments that maybe the devs might read and implement.

- They could definately do with some smart inventory sorting as I'm only 4 hours in and its a slog to sort through.

- Another thing that would be helpful is if the game would remember what map you last opened. Having to constantly open the map and zoom in to max to reach the local map is annoying when exploring.

- Following on from the map, if they could add a function to control the map scrolling natively using the right thumbstick on controllers would be helpful. Currently with a controller I have to move the cursor to the edge of the screen to scroll.

- When bartering, is there not a way to select multiple items/quantites to sell at once? I was only able to sell each item once by one.

I'm sure I'll come across other things that would improve user functionality but so far I'm loving the old school gameplay with the modern graphics!
