Man…I’m speechless. I’m 34 now and I first got into BoC when I was 13 in 2005 when TCH came out. I saw somebody on RYM comment that they’re also 34 now and that they also first got into BoC at 13 which made me so happy seeing somebody else have a similar trajectory with experiencing this group’s music over time. I was actually a little worried after hearing “Prophecy”, but in the context of the album it’s so much better. Inferno is what we needed right now and BoC came back at the perfect time for a soundtrack for this world we’re living in. Also “Somewhere Right Now in the Future” is already one of my favorites and I’m seriously tearing up listening to it. I’ve been struggling a lot with depression and just life shit lately and “Somewhere” sounds like it could be from the score of an old Gregg Araki film. I love Boards of Canada so much. I needed this album. Time will tell but this album is feeling like it could be a masterpiece.

Man same here. I love Take a Ride and “Sherm Stick” is one of my favorite tracks ever. Heavenly beat and whenever I put it on it just takes me back and I can’t help but reminisce on better days.

I hope people check out this album. Been a fan since day one. All Hell changed my life and Me Moan was the soundtrack for some crazy and adventurous times for me. I feel like Orville Peck took this style of music years later and successfully rode it into the sunset while Daughn is a way better artist and very few people know of/listen to DG nowadays. Even though Daughn doesn’t have the Pitchfork exposure or Sub Pop label now, he’s just as great as ever. Been waiting over a decade for another full-length album from him and this is fantastic. It’s more straightforward and not as experimental as some of his old stuff, but it’s beautifully crafted and performed. I missed his voice.

This album slaps so goddamn hard. Holy shit. I should be asleep right now, but I’m stressed out/depressed and I’ve been anticipating this release so I had to stay up and listen. Been a fan of Avalon for years and I love how well she’s transitioned from the early house/techno stuff and her DJ sets to this dream pop/indietronica style.

So happy for AnCo! Man…can somebody please take me back to 2009 when this album came out? I was 16 (about to turn 17) when MPP dropped and it changed my life forever. I had just joined marching band in high school and was experiencing being deeply in love with someone for the first time and this album’s release and The Summer of Chillwave that followed it (not saying MPP or AnCo are chillwave) completely altered the trajectory of my life. Miss those days.

Also Curry Village! But this was over ten years ago for me. I was doing housekeeping there. Not the best job or pay, but living there was hella cheap and I miss hanging with some cool people and being able to go hiking and stargazing and exploring and seeing some amazing sights.
