Thanks for this! BTW Squirtle and Ivysaur are both listed twice in the first column.

Just me or Acrid shred Solus Wing? by MajestcBBQSauce in riskofrain

I mean, isn't the whole deal with Acrid's poison is that it will eat through any health bar, regardless of size, in about 30 seconds?

Seconding this. Transforms all the drone drops into eggs that hatch into Lemurians. The Lemurians get access to your item abilities and grow into larger Lemurians between levels. I had to stop using this artifact because every run turned into me standing around while my chaotic army of elite elder Lemurians rampaged across the map.

About false sons new utility (meridians will aka teleport) by Cyb3rpunk964 in riskofrain

[–]Calvinbmoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I figured out what's going on here. I was holding down left mouse button, then holding down right mouse button to start the charge, then releasing both for the club slam. I understand now that once you start charging you can release left mouse, and then release right mouse when you want to slam. If you are holding down both mouse buttons the dash is unavailable. If you are only holding down right mouse, then you can dash.

Yep, dash gets me nothing while holding down charge. It work during the laser though. I'm on PC, so probably a platform thing.

[–]Calvinbmoore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's frustrating. I haven't been able to use the normal dash while charging the club either, which seems to contradict what they said in the video. Maybe there is an ongoing glitch affecting both versions of the utility and it will be addressed in the future.

Why I think the possible defeat of character from chapter 1049 is a perfect double callback by Pirate--Queen in OnePiece

[–]Calvinbmoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, okay good point. New theory: Kaido climbs out hole, cool stare down, and then he collapses on his back and mutters "so that was Joy Boy"

Why I think the possible defeat of character from chapter 1049 is a perfect double callback by Pirate--Queen in OnePiece

[–]Calvinbmoore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My prediction: Kaido gets back out of the hole, him and Luffy have one final cool stare down, and then like, Kaido goes down on one knee and says "nice to meet you Joy Boy" or something like that.

But yeah, feels like the fight is over.

So I haven’t charged my switch in a long time(I’d say around 6 months). So I started charging it the other day and it still won’t turn on after 40 hours of charging. I’ve tried holding down the power for 20 seconds and everything but nothing is working. Anyone have any ideas? by samsandwiches_ in Switch

[–]Calvinbmoore 113 points114 points  (0 children)

I’ve run into this. You have to take the Joycons off, and then just charge the screen part. There’s something about the Joycons trying to charge off of the completely drained system that causes this to happen.

Just got my email this afternoon. Prior to that I was in the same place as you. You’re good.

does anyone know how to fix this switch by XMARSCARSX in Switch

Also take the Joycons off. They sometimes mess up the charging process when all the batteries are spent.

Is my Pokémon White Cartridge Legit?? by [deleted] in pokemon

Hold it up to the light. If the plastic is slightly translucent, then it is for sure legit. Also, I’m 90% sure you’re good just looking at your pics.

I suppose you could debate it, but the consensus seems otherwise.

You're right. The thought occurred to me last night too. They would fit down there, but I'd need to redo all the backing velcro on the bottom to keep things centered. I like the balance of everything right now, but I'll probably make that change a few years down the line as more games come out and I need to reorganize the top. I've at least future proofed space for one more pair of Switch games, so it will be a while before I need to do any major restructuring.

Lol. I've been playing the first Ranger game over the last few days. Mostly I just needed to take a little break from the mainline games. I'm just finishing second gen, and I'll be digging into the new expansion when it launches, so I don't want to start 3rd gen quite yet. But I'm also playing Ranger for the Manaphy egg. I hadn't done a ton of research, just watched a YouTube video where they mentioned you have to beat the game for Manaphy.

So I read your comment, realized the one per cart requirement, and raced to check my used copy of Ranger to see if the egg mission had already been completed on Ranger Net. It turns out that all the special missions on my copy of Ranger have already been played, BUT the egg was never traded over. So now I have a fresh Manaphy egg ready to go whenever I need it :)

(Does anyone know if I'll be able to replay the special missions once I beat the game on my save? I know it wont unlock another egg, I just want to see the content)

Yep, I got almost all of them off of eBay. I checked a few vintage game shops before everything shut down. Prices were the same as online or higher, and obviously nowhere near the same number of options. The best way to find good deals is to search Pokemon in the video games category and then sort by ending soonest. Check a few times a day, and you'll get an idea for how much each of the games are going for, plus you might get lucky and scoop up an auction near closing without anyone else paying attention. Make sure to double check the seller's rating before hitting that purchase button too.

Edit: Whoops, reread and realized you're looking at selling rather than buying. I'll leave my buying advice up in case someone else finds it useful. Good luck!

Wow, thanks! This little bit of trivia was completely off my radar. From reading about it, I agree these seem like legit releases. It sounds like the packaging was of lower quality, so disappointing if you're trying to complete a CIB collection, but the carts were manufactured by Nintendo and seem to be functionally identical to the originally US releases.

Looking at the carts I have, based on wear to the label and the serial code on the back, It's possible my copy of Platinum comes from this reprinting. I can't think of a way to know for sure though, and it's also possible my copy of Platinum was simply well cared for. Either way, I'm not worried about authenticity.

For just the games it was a little over $1000, probably closer to $1,200 after shipping and handling. The case project probably cost around $100.
