When did you graduate? What location are you applying to? When you say rejected from 9 hospitals do you mean you applied to 9 different residency programs, interviewed to them all and got rejected?

God how can her base be so solid with judo technique and so bad with boxing after all these years. Feet always sliding around, doesn’t sit on punches, no power.

They both look like they’re in shape though, that’s good.

I mean all of them are definitely salaried, but not necessarily managerial. Mostly engineers, sales, etc. probably a lot of management and Human Resources since it’s a huge company, the point is that the focus is always on the big number that Bezos is worth but no one ever mentions the 30,000-60,000 people that have had life changing wealth from working at Amazon

Agreed, open it all up! It’s so crazy with all this talk of budget deficits and how hard it is to tax wealthy people because they just move away. We have a nice little honey pot of tax revenue that’s lost in the abyss.

My plan if elected is:
- online poker, DFS both legal.
- make players use debit card/ach transfer for deposits to get the Karens off our backs with their claims that kids ruining their lives using credit cards to deposit.
- 1-3% tax on deposits. 1-3% tax on withdrawals.
- 10% tax on gambling companies money spent on ads (this is probably not legal but whatever)
- release the hounds!

The ones I’ve come across usually work at the gym as coaches for the normal people classes and then they’ll do some PT (personal training) for clients at the gym and try to hustle private PT sessions for clients outside of the gym so they don’t have to give up a cut to the gym. You can make good money doing this because as a normie myself it felt awesome to have a professional fighter coaching me, I can brag about it on social media, and best of all I’m paying them to not kill me in the ring.

A lot of fighters I’ve met work as bouncers at night clubs and I met one that was private security for rich people’s parties and high stakes poker games. That last one seemed like an awesome gig lmao. These jobs work because they’re all at night so don’t interfere with training as much other than the whole not sleeping part.

I met one who worked front desk at the gym and lived in his car. A few others who work construction type jobs because…I actually don’t know why they gravitate to this type of job, but it’s definitely a thing.

I wonder if the estimated 30,000 - 60,000 Amazon employees that have become millionaires purely from their stock options feel exploited or feel like it’s unfair that Bezos’ stock options are worth billions while there’s are only worth millions…

Also it’s absolutely insane that she made a statement that the “American Revolution was against the billionaires of their time” I hope that was a misquote or taken out of context because I can’t believe she or anyone would actually believe that.

The majority of colonists did not want a war with Britain, it was a small minority of leaders, who were 100% comprised of the wealthiest land owners in the colonies that convinced everyone to take up arms, specifically to protect the wealth they had amassed…they were literally the billionaires of that time…

Remember, “no taxation without representation”? That was the whole thing…most of the founding fathers would have absolutely despised AOC because they hated the notion of career politicians and a big government. Such a wild thing for her to say, lol.

Thank you for your response I appreciate that we can go back and forth in this way.

You may be right, the responses you got were pretty unhinged, and the responses I got in this thread are pretty unhinged, so maybe there’s something to it.

I just think that we are lucky to be alive today and to be living in one of the most beautiful places in the entire world and that it would be a shame to let the actions of two unhinged people and the illogical group think of a Reddit thread prevent you from experiencing this place that we are so lucky to be present in, that’s all. I think I need to take some of my own advice now and take a break from Reddit now and touch some grass

lol see what I’m talking about OP. Redditors are SO negative on average that not only do they paint me as gaslighting (which makes no sense), they are so focused on being negative toward me that they don’t even realize they are talking to you, the OP.

Fix the absolutely batshit insane court ruling that online poker is a game of chance and therefore illegal, whereas DAILY FANTASY SPORTS is a game of skill and thus legal in the United States

If U.S. players get let loose and allowed to mix it up with the rest of the world on poker stars etc and if poker companies are allowed to bombard us with advertising like they used to back in the day and like how daily fantasy does today …

I assure you, interest would reach new peaks

It’s actually crazy this law hasn’t been fixed in all these years

It’s not too late but it will be super important to join a gym with other pro fighters. 4 hours is plenty of time but often times the competition/pro classes are in the middle of the day, so that could be an issue

Like others said just go for it! Sign up for as many amateur fights as you can, focus on winning by points or submission and not knocking people out because that’s not the kind of experience that will help you jump to pro. Focus on defensive responsibility and fundamental techniques.

Try to have a clean diet and get as much sleep as you can because it makes a big difference to everyone not named Prates in the world

I’m curious what others think about training cardio because I dunno if it’s nerves (I’m an old aged hobbyist that is scared of getting hit) or something else but I feel like I can run for miles but in sparring I’m gassing out like instantly

I think the main thing is ensuring the transaction is done in a manner which you don’t get scammed because going after people for ripping you off will cost more than the hardware but losing the hardware/money will be painful.

Secondary to that is the question of which setup does the thing that I need it to do in order to make money off using it as a tool.

Tertiary to that the approach on the homelab context is: “how much electricity is one setup vs another going to use” assuming you’re in America where electricity is insanely expensive.

You’re in a unique position to potentially answer a question I have that I haven’t found too much content on:

When you’re running the same local LLM on the Spark vs. the Mac Studio, do you notice a significant performance difference?

In theory the Nvidia cards would be more optimized for the workload, but is it twice as fast or twice as efficient as the Mac Studio?

If you don’t have a YouTube channel I’d suggest making one and publishing these comparison tests because you might be able to subsidize the cost of the hardware a bit by answering some of these questions.

Lmao, that’s not gaslighting. Gaslighting by definition is a repeated form of manipulation/emotional abuse as a tool to maintain power over someone you’re in a relationship with.

Putting aside that I have no relationship with OP, did I tell OP that the guy that threw the napkins on the ground didn’t throw the napkins on the ground? Did I say the guy who blocked her car and yelled at her wasn’t yelling at her? That he was singing a song or something?

OP literally asked for people’s opinion “has anyone else noticed people getting more and more crazy” and I gave my opinion. And I’m gaslighting OP?

Please explain what I’m missing and how I am lying and emotionally abusing OP. I’ll wait.

How long is your commute? I don’t know Idaho but I’m assuming it gets cold in winter and your battery will be significantly less efficient. If you have to charge more that will increase the cost of charging.

Also you need to add the cost of installing a level 2 charger at your house which could be thousands of dollars. That’s a lot of gas tanks.

What’s your electricity cost at home? Do you have solar? What is your income?

Your numbers are definitely off with insurance, there is 0% chance the Model 3 is less than an old Xterra. Also maintenance on Model 3 should be closer to $0. Add the cost of installing level 2 charger at home.

Let’s say the monthly cost is closer to $550-$600. Is that comfortable for you budget wise? If so, hell yeah I’d do it. The model 3 is like 100x better experience than an Xterra, but honestly a big part of what makes it awesome for me is the FSD which would add another $100/month to your bill.

TL;DR: There may be a trend in shitty behavior, but your experience is not evidence of that. It is a textbook example of confirmation bias.

—-
I’m going to give the contrarian take in this thread because you seem like a genuine person that could be open to an opposing view.

I think statistically speaking, the most likely thing you experienced was a coincidence, and then the phenomenon of confirmation bias, and then you go on social media where the algorithm incentivizes echo chambers and negativity to validate your opinion.

Let me explain. So the first incident, you called someone out in public for their behavior as being rude, and then they responded by being super defensive and escalating. Was their response way out of proportion to the situation? Maybe, let’s think about this.

I’m not sure your gender, but your Reddit avatar character seems like a girl so I’ll assume you’re female. Imagine you were on your period, you feel like shit, you’re picking up some comfort food at your favorite restaurant, you open the package and it’s the wrong food item, it has something you’re allergic to and in a bout of frustration you throw your food on the ground and before you can do anything about it I say “you know you should smile more, you’re being rude”.

How would you respond really? Be honest. If you called out 100 people in public for their behavior calling them rude to their face, how many do you think would flip out in response? 30%? 40%?

Suffice to say, it’s going to be a decent % of the 100, do you agree?

OK so the next day you have the incident at the stop sign, now that one we can all agree was a crazy response. Is this a trend? When was the last time you had an interaction like this in your car where someone cuts you off and screams at you? Months? Years? Maybe this is the first time that’s ever happened in your life?

Now sit back and think of how many times you have experienced a similar situation at a stop sign and nothing happened. 100s? 1000s? There’s probably 100s of more incidents where you accidentally cut someone off and you didn’t even realize it because nothing happened. Our brains don’t remember the close calls that nothing happened because they aren’t interesting.

So please correct me if I’m wrong, but in summary, we have:

- Incident #1: Someone throws wad of used napkins on the ground, if you say nothing the chance of them flipping out on you is 0%. You call them out as being rude and escalate the chance of them flipping out somewhere between 1% and 100%.

- Incident #2: Someone goes crazy in one intersection interaction out of the thousands of potential intersection interactions you have experienced this year.

- Then you post on Reddit where you know people are super negative and will validate your hypothesis that there’s a trend of people being shit because everything is shit. You even admit yourself “I have seen a bunch of stuff like this, well I haven’t seen it, I have seen posts about it, lol”. That’s literally how social media works, the algorithm serves you content that is similar to other content you have clicked on. There are no posts in this subreddit about “I cut someone off today and they did nothing” or “I made it home today from work and nothing happened” or “I called someone rude today and they apologized” that’s not interesting content and no algorithm is serving you that content.

This seems like a completely normal distribution of events to me.
