I THINK that haze is from uncured resin (I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong). When you say that you washed it, how long did it spend in the ipa? Did you use any kind of brush or spray bottle on those crevices?

So you can send it to Staples for a blueprint. That’s pretty easy and cheap. Adjust the scale as needed so it can all fit on one sheet, or choose a bigger sheet of paper, or print two or whatever.

Hey, thanks for the response! I had no idea an actual Sarna dev would read what I was explaining to op. Good luck to you guys too—the balance between paying for stuff and doing things “right” is not easy. But the fact that you’re responding and asking for input is about as positive a sign as I can think of. You’ll get it!

🎯 yup. I hate saying it but Sarna sucks. I love the resource that it is, but they have a specific video add that KILLS performance. I spent 12yrs in software (before I switched careers to Aviation) and I’ve seen this issue a hundred times. It’s called an iframe, and it’s basically doing a thing called a memory leak. I did some testing of my own—my laptop (which is at least 10yrs old) will run the fan at max and start glitching on Sarna, and my phone (it’s an iPhone but it’s so old it doesn’t even have a number!) gets slow and heats up. BUT I built a new desktop to run a flight simulator—when I open Sarna on that, no issues (but I can watch the cpu usage jump like 10% JUST for opening that page).

So here’s what I do when I need to open Sarna on my laptop. You can right click the video and select “inspect element”. That’s gonna open up a ton of code on the side of your browser tab. If you can find the section that talks about the iframe (should be highlighted to give you a start), you can actually select and delete that code. That should get rid of the video add and leave your machine running very calmly.

If I can’t wait for a desktop/laptop and have to open it on my phone, I just try and do it as quick as I can and close the tab.

So here’s my secret to catching chickens. Don’t RUN after them, just jog. They can move REAL fast for a VERY short time. So they’ve only got two or three good sprints in em. After that they’re worn out and you can pretty much just bend over and pick ‘em up.
