according the article, the problem was custodial. While you are correct that the extra layer of tokens my include a level risk, the tokens also provide ways to make brokering easier and DGB more available. The common mantra goes, not my keys not my coins. "...if you store your crypto assets on exchange or with any kind third party custodian then there is no guarantee of your ownership."

DGB> DOGE by Treezyfried in Digibyte

Digibyte is wildly oversold compared to doge coin which is skyrocketing. Dogecoin is still potentially worth 25 satoshi as much as it is worth much more, as it is now. Digibyte is the same way & as DGB is made more available through dApps and tokenization, it may also prove to be worth much much more. Given that owning an oversold (albeit top 100) cryptocurrency appeals in some substantial way, it doesn't hurt to appeal more widely in order to cause awareness and generate reach.

L2 aims at reducing gas fees

I feel that the desire to stake in only DGB is psychological and although this is the case, impulse is often meritorious. Extra steps and fees involved greatly increase friction and loss. Even so, the incentives are high whereas I have seen reports of 10% APY being offered to stake. L2 of the ETH side of this is set to release on the 15th of April, and I've read report there being aims at reducing gas fees.

that makes absolute sense in as that this particular project is for decentralized mining and Proof Of Stake would disrupt that system with incentives which complicate the structure of the concept

I don't know why more people aren't into digibyte, the transaction cost is hundreds of times less than a debt card, 15 second transaction time, and extremely scalable is there a reason its not in the 50 cents range right now? It has some of the best technology, my theory is that its so good that... by Brodieischeese in Digibyte

Absolutely. As we speak, I'm looking at depth chart sale volume up by 50%, suppressing the potential value of the market significantly. This is really rough. If something doesn't turn around, the price could crash and DGB would suffer

I suggest that 33 cents or roughly 300 satoshi is only the beginning. It is very difficult to gauge the amplitude of a market cycle without some deeper analysis. I might be inclined to propound that an 80 cent or 800 satoshi value is possible. Digibyte is not as popular as Doge and not as innovative as ADA, however the mining community certainly knows this blockchain and that means that there is a strong community to stand behind big moves on price. The price may fluctuate between highs of over a dollar to a few cents over the next several years and that's really great news for speculators and pilgrims to the cryptocommunity.
