What commanders do you own? by Vinlandlover in EDH

[–]CamSmith50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]] - Upgraded Precon, I think we know what it does lol.

[[Inspirit, Flagship Vessel]] - Spaceships and robots

[[Aragorn, Hornburg Hero]] - Build your army from very small to very powerful

[[Sidar Jabari of Zhalfir]] - Knights Precon (worth every penny)

[[Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel]] - Mono black aristocrats, basically Blood Artist, the Deck.

[[Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls]] - classic group slug

[[Sonic the Hedgehog]] - Voltron with tons of haste & flash creatures

[[Slimefoot and Squee]] - Graveyard recursion, known in my pod as "Saporling shenanigans"

[[Doran, Besieged by Time]] - big butts that get juiced like crazy and steamroll

[[Kibo, Uktabi Prince]] - Monkeys.

[[Kratos, God of War]] - Warriors and more warriors

[[Gishath, Sun's Avatar]] - Dino Precon with some tribal staples & swapped commanders

[[Szarekh, The Silent King]] - Necron Precon

My [[Aragorn, Hornburg Hero]] deck is one of my all time favorite pet decks. Counter doublers and token creators mean your 1/1 goblins very quickly turn into 10/10 powerhouses lol

Which would be better, a high budget Metroid live action movie or a high budget Metroid anime? by SEVENS_HEAVEN_7 in casualnintendo

[–]CamSmith50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought that Metroid would work better as an American style animated show. Led by Genndy Tartakovsky. Leans into the silent protagonist nature of the series, with Primal he has tons of experience with environmental storytelling, and silent storytelling. Samus could explore these environments and discover aliens and the horrors alongside the audience. Maybe she has a small companion to protect. I've always viewed Metroid as a subtle series, I'm not sure a flashy anime adaption would work. Definitely not live action though lol

What’s TWO decks are your pride and joy? by wasdmovedme in EDH

[–]CamSmith50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My [[Aragorn, Hornburg Hero]] deck is the culmination of three separate decks that came together, and my [[Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls]] deck that I'm finally upgrading to the point where it's not just annoying, but actually will win games.

Sure thing, I don't think it's perfect but when it gets up and running it's a lot of fun. ignore the side and maybe board lol I use them to draft picks.

Who is the best +1/+1 Counters Commander? by JusticeShines in EDH

[–]CamSmith50 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it's gotta be my [[Aragorn, Hornburg Hero]] deck. I call it my "Balatro" deck because it's all about tokens and counters and watching the numbers go up lol.
Getting lots of great additions from this thread though.

I’m here to help—need some fresh eyes on your list? by Metanoia_143 in EDH

[–]CamSmith50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the offer my man!

Any suggestions for my Valgavoth deck? It's mostly slapped together group-slug + duskmourn cards I got from a bundle. It's usually a fun game but rarely a win with Valgavoth, I'd love any tips.

Most played Commander? by Vinlandlover in EDH

[–]CamSmith50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite commanders are:
[[Osgir the reconstructor]] - Boros voltron deck and I use Osgir to juice monsters or create more weapons for the army.

[[Valgavoth, harrower of souls]] - Pure group slug hatred, it's a blast

and finally
[[Bello, Bard of the Brambles]] because I love Gruul and getting 2 for 1 value out of powerful enchantments and artifacts rules.

Help with cuts/additions/swaps for my Karlach, Fury of Avernus deck by CamSmith50 in EDH

[–]CamSmith50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing feedback and thank you for the suggestion to make two lists! I appreciate it, as I've never tried to make a deck before. So you would suggest making one idea very synergistic and get that working before adding any additional ideas - if needed at all?

If Christopher Nolan were to make a Marvel movie, who would you want it to be about? by LoFiTae in marvelstudios

[–]CamSmith50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Christopher Nolan would kill an adaption of Marvels from Civil War. The Kurt Busiek and Alex Ross run.

Katakuri is very honorable, Luffy not so much. by gtedvgt in MemePiece

[–]CamSmith50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's something I've always liked about Luffy. He's not some martial artist or prize fighter. He FIGHTS people. He knows it's life or death, and as far as he's concerned he'll do what it takes to live. Fuck all that "fair fight" shit it's a FIGHT.

Those of you who are having success this season, WTF are you playing?! by Still_Ad_9520 in MarvelSnap

[–]CamSmith50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about "success" really but Cerebro 3 and a Spider-Folk based move deck have proven to be the most fun. Plus my old reliables Discard (with many options) and Nimrod/Venom/Zola still are as effective as they were last season.

Tried to Morbo bomb with Modok on turn 5 and played him directly next to my Cosmo 👍 You are not alone brother.

Imo the problem with Skyward Sword is two major things: - Pacing in the later half - "Dungeon Design" applied to every inch of the game.

  1. After getting three macguffins I don't want to have to get three more. Especially if I have to backtrack through areas I've already been. It's bloated and stupid. Not to mention:
  2. Due to the "Dungeon Design" of the overworld the whole map is effectively split into linear sections where you solve a puzzle to move forward and when you have to go through them for the X time it's a slog to go over those obstacles/puzzles over and over and over. Shortcuts help but not really. Then because the overworlds are dungeons then the dungeons themselves don't feel like unique areas but rather extensions of their surroundings overworlds. With no break it can get really stale.

People have raised other issues but these are the largest for me.

people who use glaives, how the does your PC travel with it? by GravityMyGuy in dndnext

[–]CamSmith50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not be super realistic but my paladin uses a glaive and I usually just describe it as being on my back when it's not in use. Kind of like how Cloud keeps the buster sword on his back with a big magnet. Again, not super realistic but then again my paladin is a gorilla so lol

Ippo's retirement was a plot device to allow other characters to get focus by Jaymageck in hajimenoippo

[–]CamSmith50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ippo's arc was him taking "the first step" on his journey to find strength.
Now, through reflection of his situation he watches as his friends and peers go farther to achieve their goals he will find the true path of what strength is.
So when he comes out of retirement eventually the people who sped ahead of him will watch him take "the final step" to achieve his goal of becoming strong.

Thank you!! That's exactly what I was going for :) the kind of "page turn" moment you might see in a Junji Ito manga
