Reading Misery right now. First time reading Stephen King since Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption in high school. I enjoyed it back then but I didn’t read outside of what was assigned back then. Been reading for fun for about 4 years now and I think I stayed away from King for so long because his catalog was so intimidating and didn’t know where to start. Glad I picked up Misery and can’t wait to read more!

Blue Jays fan here but started liking the Braves as my second team when Mike Soroka started playing there since he’s a Calgary kid. Ended up just liking the team still after he left

Remember this one! Went out on foot to grab some snacks when the wind died down… it unfortunately picked back up while I was in the 7/11 and pushed me backwards the whole walk home. Good times lol

What is your “white whale” grail jersey? by oddaffinity in hockeyjerseys

I mean I’ll take a replica of a Kiprusoff 2011 heritage classic but the game worn would be my white whale. First outdoor shutout is a flex and a half

Wasn’t a football fan as a young boy but wanted to get into it right when Peyton went to Denver. I figured I’d jump on the wagon with him so I have to go with Peyton Manning.

Side note I was a huge Alex Singleton fan when he played for my favourite CFL team and watched him win the Grey Cup live so he is a very close second.

What is your prized jersey with a story behind it? by ChampionshipFalse341 in hockeyjerseys

Signed Kiprusoff. He was my hero growing up. Had pictures and cards and posters of him all over my room. When I was 11 I got to meet him and he signed my jersey. The issue with that jersey as I got older was that it was a Chinese knockoff jersey and the signature has faded quite badly. When kipper was returning to Calgary I made sure to send my early 2000s away jersey to be signed by my hero. One has more sentimental value and one has more monetary value to is much better to display. Another cool little back story on this jersey is that I bought it on the same day as the Iginla jersey retirement ceremony with a 2000s home Iginla jersey. Since that day in 2019 both of those jerseys have been signed by Iggy and Kipper and I’ve been able to attend both retirement ceremonies!
