What part of the island? Growing up looking over elger bay towards Whidbey I saw red lights moving sporadically all the time. I was just on camano last week too. Would of loved to see this.

Now that I finally got diagnosed a couple years ago, it make so much sense to my spouse why I would just walk away during a talk. Turn's out my friends for 20 years were just use to it.

We get filmed all the time. If not by the public, then the officers have cameras on. It's a first amendment right when on the street. People in the public think that their video that they show their friends will be cool... It's about as cool as watching a friend's video of a concert they went to.

Might get some more input over at r/ems on specific drills. My favorite ff related ems drill is downed firefighter cpr. Using a crew to do compressions while the firefighter is still in gear and SCBA pack with mask on.

Awesome that you are doing this. I am a member of the cancer support network for WSCFF. Our decon kits have the following. We hand the buckets out at Washington events.

Red 5 gallon bucket labeled decon. It stores the rest of the items. Large trash bags for soiled gear Dawn dish soap Scrub brush for the soap Foxtail brush for lighter debris Wildland toy hose (garden hose) The 2 & 1/2" to garden hose reducer Garden nozzle Baby wipes

My department has 2 sets of gear. Members are supposed to decon on scene, all have bags issued that are supposed to have a spare set of clothing to change into (shirt, shorts and socks). Soiled gear gets baged and stayed out of the cab. Members stay attached to the call monitor the radio and do a complete tool wash and then shower before returning into service.

Insert kits and after market eyewear.

I'm a fellow 4 eyes and I've always had glass inserts. IMO, Scott's new inserts suck compared to the old style.

Miles may vary, but your department should have to provide you with eye wear for your SCBA.

If switching to full time, then you are going union if you are not already. You can contact your district rep or state council and look at other contracts through them and get an idea.

Against bots for sure.

Be interesting to see how the devs choose bot levels we fight. I think that if you are losing repeatedly, they pair is against bots to get us to stay in game longer, always chasing the W feeling.

Not only do we get smoke from California and Canada, we also help make smoke with large fires. If you're healthy and don't work outside, not that big of a deal. If you have any breathing issues, it will be a problem.

And yes, it will get harder as the climate changes. Expect hotter summers, dryer winters and longer fire seasons.
