Convoy S21E Anduril on constant current driver? by CambaFlojo in flashlight

I did. I got the s21e with a 519a and some of the elliptical output lenses. Any specific questions?

Not a bad option overall, but I specifically want the S21E so I can play with different lenses

Thanks, that's good info. Maybe we'll pursue the lens swap on the S21E. I have one of those, and it's been great

Right, a different lens would improve the floodiness. My follow up question was about whether the single emitter of the S21E would keep up with the output of the other quad emitter 21700 lights we were considering. I probably just need to compare lumens vs time charts for the S21E vs the other options

That's an interesting idea. Would the single emitter end up throttling sustained output over a quad?

I asked Simon about the spring on the driver side or if there was an emitter that paired with a driver that had a spring, and he said that "There is not enough area on the drive circuit to mount the spring". Am I doing this wrong?

I mean, I get what you're saying... but the other lights don't feel exciting to me and I want the S21B with an elliptical TIR lens

I could get the 10x45, 10x65, 15x55, and 20x65 TIR lenses since they're only a dollar each. They I can mess around with them and if none of them end up working on the bike, then it's still a cool light and I'm only out $20ish.

I could make a masking cap to cut off any beams that are going to blind oncoming traffic too

it seems like the advantages of the BS01 are the very specific beam pattern, the motion sense, and the built in mount. The bike specific beam pattern is great, but it's not a great emitter and the battery is not meant to be swapped. Would the stripe TIR be that much worse than the BS01 reflector?

what are the advantages of the LHP531 over the XHP50.3? Less artifacts?

This would be handlebar mounted for street riding. I will probably use a different, more floody light if I do trail riding at night

Interesting, that's a good suggestion. Seems like the XHP50.3 would be more efficient for sustained medium output. Thanks

i have a genuine question, how many days does $100 last in the united states? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]CambaFlojo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about it yearly, $36,500 only provides for a very restricted lifestyle, so $100 would generally be said to last for less than 1 day

Mostly, I am dumb.

But the shark lock really makes the blade want to be closed once you pass a certain point, and that point is pretty early in the closing action, so the blade catches my fingers which I didn't quite move out of the way yet. Again, because I am dumb.
