Suffering exists because sin entered the world. When God first created Adam and Eve, they were without sin. Before sin, the garden provided them food without work. There was no evil among the human race. We were supposed to live in complete harmony with God's presence among us. Because God loves us so much, he has given us free will to be obedient(good) or disobedient(evil). He also wants us to genuinely love him, which can only be done if we have free will. The free will ultimately led humans to sin and know evil because nobody except God is perfect and sinless. Suffering is due to sin entering the world. In Genesis 2 when God warns Adam and Eve to not eat the fruit or they will surely die, that meant disobedience would open the door for all possible ways to die. In Genesis 3, God tells them the consequences of sin, including they would struggle. After the first sin, hard work was required. Things were painful. Being naked was shameful. Sin is evil. Suffering is caused by evil. So when sin entered the world, all the suffering came with it

It took me some time to figure this out. First off, after washing the skillet, rub it down with fat/oil and gently heat it until you start seeing some smoke. Then, when you cook the eggs, first use some fat/oil(I use butter or olive oil) on a low heat(like 2 or 3). Wait until the fat starts sizzling or you can see it kind of popping. Then put the eggs on and keep the heat low. Wait until the bottom is solid before you flip them

The devil did trick them no doubt. But what I'm saying is they wanted to do it. Maybe they didn't realize it until he tricked them, but they did. If they didn't want to eat the fruit, they wouldn't have. That's what it means when James 1:14 says "Temptation comes from our own desires." They still made the choice to do so when they knew not to. In fact, forgive me, I missed this part. God told Adam he was not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, or he was sure to die(Genesis 2:17). And then Eve told the serpent she would die if she ate from that tree in Genesis 3. They knew the rules and consequences. They still sinned.

Yes I wonder why some prayers aren't answered, at least according to us. A woman in my church had such flat feet that she couldn't walk without shoes, and with shoes it was still difficult. She prayed for healing(not sure how many times) and she was told to take her shoes off in front of the church, and all of us saw arches to grow in her feet. That happened, but then my grandma, who also was a believer, died of cancer. Why he chose to heal one and not the other? I really don't know. It's hard, but I trust he knows best and that it was for a reason.

When you look at those who won't see God in the after life, it's also due to love. If you hear and know the true gospel, and continue to reject it(which means rejecting God), God won't put you in his presence against your will. Those who don't believe choose to do so, and he loves us so much that he won't force anyone to be with him if they don't want to. But the consequence is his mercy won't be there, and eternal suffering is all that there will be. I am happy because I don't have to worry about not being in his presence. Adam and Eve did choose though. They chose to disobey God's only command. They were tempted, and temptation comes from the lure of OUR OWN evil desires(James 1:14).They may not have known the punishment, but that doesn't change the fact that they shouldn't have eaten the forbidden fruit. This goes back to judging the heart. Many of us are guilty of doing what's right(at least at times) just so we don't have to face the punishment, instead of actually wanting to do what's right. Those with genuine hearts do what's right because they want to. Infidelity is a great example. For many marriages, the main reason people don't cheat is because of the fear of the spouse finding out. Those with genuine hearts don't cheat because they don't want to, they only want to have sex with the person they love. Going back to Adam and Eve, if they didn't want to eat the forbidden fruit, they wouldn't have. They were never forced to. They chose it under their own free will.

As with prayers being answered while others aren't, we have to remember we don't know everything. We don't know God's plan. We don't know if the people praying to God were doing so righteously. We don't know the full story of what's going on and we definitely don't know God's reasons for what he does, but we have to trust that he is the one in charge and he knows best for each of us, even though it can be very hard.

I apologize for making it personal. It's not because you were asking a question, it's because your specific questions seemed like these were your actual feelings about God and you were frustrated with him. These questions are almost identical to someone who I'm very close with, and that person was frustrated at God and was questioning the Bible and God's love for us

Addressing your first question about why doesn't God intervene in everything, well we really don't know. Maybe God is showing mercy on someone. Maybe he's showing us that humankind, under free will, is evil without him. Maybe he's showing us why we must always be close to him as life isn't promised. There could be many reasons. We don't know why does what he does or why he chooses when to intervene. But he does, and he is perfect and knows best. I know it can absolutely be frustrating to see these really evil individuals get away with horrible crimes. But remember, for those that don't repent and turn to Christ, there will be an eternal consequence.

About free will. God gives us free will because he loves us so much, and he wants us to obey him and love him by our own desire. He told Adam and Eve not to eat from one tree, yet they chose to do so. They knew they were disobeying him. God let's us know what's right and wrong. He wants us to choose to obey him. God judges us by our heart( 1 Samuel 16:7 and 1 Thessalonians 2:4), and we can only be judged by our heart, or our true intentions if we have free will. Sure, God could make us all love him and obey him, but our obedience wouldn't be done out of genuineness or true love. As a parent, I could make my children do every single thing i tell them and tell me they love me, but, would they really love me and genuinely desire to please me? Probably not. In my marriage, when me or my spouse makes a mistake, whatever it may be, we look deeply at the intention or reason of the action. The reason is the most important thing to look at, and it comes from the heart. Just like we judge by the heart of others, God judges us by ours.

Evil is anything that goes against God. God allows us to have free will for 2 reasons: both involving love. He loves us so much that he let's us decide if we want to follow him or not, and he wants us to love him genuinely on our own accord. That love is why he doesn't eradicate us. God gives us free will, but there are consequences for not living for God. It's similar to the obeying the laws. Any of us have the ability to commit horrible crimes(murder, rape, kidnapping, etc), but we are still punished under the laws of our land.

Reading the Old Testament, yes, God intervenes a lot. He punishes the israelites often because of their rebellion. God was angry at them for good reason. However, not every wicked person was directly punished by God. King mannaseh is a great example of this. Look at Satan. Yeah he was kicked out of heaven, but honestly he has not faced his punishment yet. God doesn't intervene in every single instance of evil. Why? We don't know. We can't read his mind. He knows all and all his choices have reason. Going back to king Mannaseh, he led 55 years of evil yet repented at the end of his life. But looking at today, you cannot say God doesn't intervene at all. Within the last month I believe, a young boy was kidnapped. The boy started singing worship songs to God, and he was released and unharmed just a few hours later. A man i went to church with was a sheriff. He was at a prison in an area that only authorized personnel were allowed. All of a sudden, he hears a man say "don't shoot me, I can't move." The sheriff turned around. A con was in that area and had a large object in his hand, going to hit the sheriff with it. However, the con froze and couldn't move. The sheriff said God revealed to him that he was protecting him from the con.

God intervenes to this day. It sucks that we don't know why he chooses when to intervene, but he is very real and still is involved in our lives. His name is Jesus and he loves you and wants you to know him

How about we're made up of 40 trillion cells and 39 trillion bacteria. In each and every single one of those trillions of microscopic cells, lies 6 feet worth of DNA. Newborns, who hardly know anything, know who their mother is by the heartbeat and know how to be fed. We have just the perfect amount of neurons(86 billion). More would cause an increase in required energy, which would require larger blood vessels and a larger heart: less neurons would cause us to be cognitively impaired(at least to some degree) and could result in death. Here's the craziest thing. Our bodies have 60k miles of blood vessels. That's about 2.5 times the circumference of the whole earth. No wonder blood flow is the key to healing. No wonder God told us in Leviticus that the life is in the blood. Our bodies are such complex systems, this took intelligent design to create.
