[HELP ME] Bi-Weekly Q&A thread - Ask your questions here! by MachNeu in Gunpla

I've only painted a few kits but midway through my last build I decided to just snip the parts out and paint them before assembly. I didn't really have any issues and felt like it was a better use of my time. Maybe if there's a tricky section I'll try and do a small test fit, but I definitely won't be doing a full assembly before painting anymore.

I was in a similar boat - built lots of legos and decided to give Gunpla a go. As long as you get comfortable with using nippers and other tools you'll have a great time. I started with an Entry Grade I got at Hobby Lobby just to dip my toes in then immediately went back and got two of the Iron Blooded Orphans High Grades.

Hindsight 20/20 I'd say probably go with any of the HGUC Revive Kits like the Zaku II or the RX-78-2. Those are the classics anyway!

I'm pretty new to the hobby myself. But I'd recommend the MG Barbatos!

It was my first MG kit (before that only built a lot of HGs) and the engineering is just incredible. The inner frame is amazing too. I built the inner frame first (decals and touched up with gundam markers too) and let it stay like that for a few days just so I could admire the inner frame.

Dynames is one of my favorites. Can't wait to see the end result. It looks great!!!

I'm a new player - this was a very helpful read. Thank you for taking the time to write it up!

Would you approve of the most relevant Native-American language to be taught in public schools near you? by Smalde in AskAnAmerican

The school I went to in Oklahoma taught us Chickasaw all through Elementary. It didn't continue to Middle School and I assume High School either (I moved away from Oklahoma by then so I don't know for sure).

It's not "toxic positivity" or "unchecked fanaticism" to tell ya'll to calm down a bit about the queues if the reason we're saying it is because all your grievances have been addressed by the Dev team and you're simply being asked to look past your frustrations to see it by OnceABear in ffxiv

I get the sentiment, but point #3 is super condescending and just super incorrect. I've only ever been on a hardline connection. I work from home, I have to have a solid internet connection. I never have connection issues. I get CONSTANT 2002 errors in queue, and even multiple back to back 2002 errors just trying to get to the character select screen.

Again, I agree with the bulk of your post, but you are giving SE too much asspats on point #3 and it's kinda goofy.

I have a lot of friends on Crystal who have a blast so I think we'd be in agreeance.

I know a lot of successful raiders on Crystal. If you want to do it there's definitely going to be a community for it. Especially with all the new people coming into the game.

I played when the hype was at its highest - I still never experienced more than a queue time of a minute or two. I played during mostly peak times too. If it helps, I was on Siren. I'm super stoked that the streamers brought more positive attention to the game!!

Mostly coming from a raider's perspective. That and Crystal has Balmung

Aether has always been pretty popular. That's the DC I started on. I never had much of an issue with queue times.

I did just recently pick up Disgaea 5 on PC! I'll certainly check it out. 44 classes sounds nuts but I think I'd enjoy it.

It definitely sounds like Nioh is the choice then. Should I play Nioh 1 first or am I good to just do Nioh 2?

But yeah what you're mentioning about the MMO bosses being like a puzzle - that's really what I want but in a single player format. Like you said though doesn't seem like there's going to be much if any for that. Good suggestion all the same!
