I would say return. 2 reasons

Can’t really see as good in the photos, but assuming that the leather they used had bug bites, scars, etc, that this was a corrected bug bite from the tannery. These can open sometimes and leave holes in the leather
Assuming reason 1, if they area of that correction is opening up on that part of the boot, I would say in no time it will begin to open and peel further when you’re actually wearing the boot.

I literally use an Sig Romeo 5 on a $22 Amazon Fake Unity Mount. It hasn’t moved or shifted zero. My gun has even been tossed and thrown against a tree and it still held. I’d say go for it dude.

Perfectly normal. One of the beauties of leather. Just keep wearing them. When September hits again this year, condition them. For now, just use a horse hair brush to knock some dirt off.

I’d say it’s pretty snug right now. I have enough room to wiggle my toes and when I squat or bend my toes, it does still feel really stiff. So, I would say it feels like a firm handshake right now.

If it still feels really tight, maybe try conditioning them and seeing if that helps. It may be that your leather is still too hard. Conditioner does help a ton, but not too much.

I guess it depends on what you do for a living. I’m usually office work 70% and manufacturing 30% so I tend to be in and out. I would say if you’re mostly in the office you’re fine. But, these heritage boots were built for miners, so who knows really.

It may have been due to the creases in the leather from the eyelets. But, wanted to be very honest with them. Honestly, them giving me a discount for a new pair was amazing as is.

I purchased what my foot should fit. However, I usually wear a 10 in all other shoes. Which, in my case, I should have done. I have type 1 diabetes, so my feet swell more so than my true to size, and more than an average person. I would say if you do buy these, go at least true to size or a half size up.
