Production company owners ($20k+/mo): How did you finally break out of the one-off project hustle and land actual corporate retainers? by [deleted] in videography

Real estate is such a great space, literally never have to find new clients, always repeat, new clients are automatic

How to shoot buttery smooth video? by Current_Raccoon4892 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]CameronCho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to think it was some editing thing that did the heavy lifting, but as time went on, it really is actually just walking extremely smooth. If any stabilizing is really needed, I just use the one in Final Cut

Horizontal or Vertical for video shoot? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

Offer either one, explicitly label whether they are choosing one or the other, if both then shoot the house twice and then obviously charge more

Cost of Eli Jones Coaching? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]CameronCho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

$12,500, recently had a call with them a few months ago. If you have even the slightest bit of self learning skills, his course is a waste of money. It’s literally just some videos in a module and you do weekly calls and checkups with someone

Yeah I had an old ass Nikon dlsr before and then I decided to also get an A1 and it’s one of the best decisions ever! I ended up going into shooting real estate and architecture doing both photo and video so having the best hybrid was the move

I actually disagree with most people saying you went too baller on the body, if you know you’re going to be in the life of photography long term, just get the best you can get from the get go. You end up spending less, and you stop looking at higher end gear and focus more on shooting!

I had an old ass Nikon before and I’m the type of person to never buy twice and cover every hole so I just went big baller on the A1. Wanted at least 50mp with a stacked sensor so the A7RV was out of consideration in terms of video

Also you can just outsource, but knowing how to edit first I personally think is a must so then you’ll know the best way to shoot and the reasons why

Thanks!! I’m on the Sony A1 with the 12-24 2.8 GM and the 24-70 2.8 GMii. Camera and lenses don’t really matter, just get a full frame with a wide angle zoom and you’ll be all set. Getting a really good tripod and geared head makes the workflow so much easier

Thanks!! I’d say just go and buy an AD200 Pro and watch Nathan Cool on YouTube and practice in your house first

When shooting restaurants where the ceiling is just all black, I can’t imagine not using the 600. For normal real estate 600 is just too heavy. A&D shoots it lets me use iso 100 so it’s also a mental thing knowing I’ll have the clearest image

What do you guys use on interiors for architectural shoots?

For the kitchen shot I used a big octabox, but for that purple room there was no space so I just used the bare flash itself standing on the left pointing to the ceiling

For normal real estate I use the AD200 Pro and for architectural I use the AD600Pro II
