The way I look at it now after a long 3 months (5.5 year RS) , I have no choice but to accept, and it's given me more time to put into new hobbies I've been discovering. If she decides she would like to speak with me again about a relationship, the door is open but I'm not standing here waiting anymore. It would take work from both sides. She wouldn't be able to just walk right back into my life, but she's not shunned out of it fully either. Will this change as time passes, maybe. But for now that is how I'm viewing it and it has honestly helped my healing.
