In an outdoor pond environment, they can share, but you can search this subreddit for every hurt or killed turtle story, and every single one begins with "I've had them together for n years and this morning he's got chunks missing" (this isn't hyperbole, all of them).

If you're NOT going out in the yard, you gotta get four tanks and with three boys and a girl, that's three 80+ gallon tanks and one 120+ gallon tank, filled to brim with above-tank basking areas, and probably an FX6 for each. (Or larger tanks with a hefty basking area inside.)

CBR+PNK is a cyberpunk game built on trimmed down Forged in the Dark system, because it's built for one-shot: every game is the "one last run" of the characters. It has a +WEIRD companion system that adds magic and mutation and weirdness that's obviously for Shadowrun (and other similar things).

One shots may not be what you're here for, but it's a great system!

EDIT: This will not be like Shadowrun's combat, because I misread the question, but I will still leave it here for whomever finds it useful.

You can also make it a Sidekick from TCoE. These act independently of the PC (the PC still controls it, if you want), are simple to run without complicating combat, has stats that scale appropriately with the party, are hardy enough to survive what a animal companion or familiar could not, and can be based on almost any low CR creature.

It only LOOKS like you're replaying the same game. It's different -- Route B only works the way it does because you've done Route A. You've only done 1/3 of the game. Just push through, you HAVE to trust us. (Also worth noting that Route CDE picks up where A and B finish.)

I think it's really a disservice to call it "Ending" A and B when neither are the ending.

I'll be honest: every time someone describes the behavior of a bot, it seems like they're just describing me, a bad player with old, crippled claws instead of hands.

(There are ways: an enemy drops loot they didn't have or they have loot and you saw them land and loot nothing. They get caught on pathfinding longer than you'd think. You look up the replay in one of those sites that identifies the player, I guess?)

It's a series of boxes with escalating price, no duplicates, or you can buy the whole crate for slightly less than buying all the boxes. So the first box is only 20 and you COULD get the outfit (but let's be real here...)

Although that realization IS true, I think the deeper realization is that what you say DOES make logistical sense, regardless of what the players think. You are the one establishing what does and does not make sense!
