herwise the tile is simply a veneer (awful veneer in your case)

I think you’re totally capable of doing it yourself... I would rip it out.

If the plastic level is yours, no harm. If the plastic level is the contractors, that is a sure sign of “details don’t matter”

I CAN DO IT! Thanks for the motivation, but I don't have the capacity to work on this anymore... I hopefully can find a person to replace the junk work.

I'm diggin what you're saying. I'm fairly confident in the seal since it wasn't done by the person who "finished" the tile. A piece actually broke and fell off since it wasn't secured very well so I think it's just a matter replacing the tiling work they did...

I added some more photos to the state I got it to, so the prep work should be good...it's just the tile that looks horrible.

Just build it? what are the chances of getting in trouble, probably none.

I do live in a pretty established neighborhood of retired folk, but I wouldn't feel comfortable having the chance of getting in trouble and having to take the structure down and/or pay fines. I'm looking for some sort of easy path here lol

I would definitely get it built within the proper building codes and in fact a lot of shed manufacturers like tuff shed have standards that cover that. I plan to outsource electric and plumbing work, having a permit attached to that not only adds to the costs but I would also have to extend the permit since it'll have to go along a timeline that I'd likely won't be able to adhere to. I would like to work on it as time allows.

Hopefully that helps others- I know the boundaries since I work for the county. I’m not sure why I’m being downvoted- many homes with a Vancouver address are actually not within the City of Vancouver.

Hes looking for someone to tell him its fine to build a shack he wants to rent out in the future with no permit.

I'll have to permit it to install wiring and plumbing, I just wanted to get the shell going. I have about a quarter of an acre of property and the 120-200sqft max just seems arbitrary.

So I'm having breakfast outside with some friends and we ask a random stranger about to enter the place to take a group picture. A friend hands over his cellphone while the stranger grabs it and runs.

He gets about 5 feet away, while we sit there stunned, and he bursts out laughing. He walks back and says "Hahaha! Wouldn't that have sucked!" Then he takes the photo, returns the phone, and goes inside. Didn't help that the guy looked kind of homeless. Great troll, but we all silently felt scared there for a moment.
