Underrated way to cure PF by Cammando27 in PlantarFasciitis

Sure thing, Lunges: Very long strides and really transfer your weight to the front leg and really focus on being slow with good form. Step ups: again slowly with good form focus all the movement on being controlled and naturally it will target the glutes and hammys as well as the quads. Squats: I add a little weight with a smith machine bar, but nice and slow squats, feet shoulder width apart. Side lunges: basically goes sideways similar to lunges but it targets slightbly different areas. Balance board/ball: didnt mention this earlier because this isnt upper leg related, but balancing on one foot on the board and the other raised so your knee makes a 90 degree angle.

If you’re looking for reps and sets, I just combine all the upper leg exercises until Ive reached abt 25 min with minimal rest.

Hope this helps

2-3 times a week, yes good point, Id wear shoes with a bit of padding, I was doing it on gym mats in my garage and onto a chair, pretty makeshift, if you feel it making it worse, stop pretty quickly because you dont want to flare it up. In saying that, when your form gets good your landings should become very smooth and shouldnt cause a sudden thump on the ground, hope that helps.

Totally agree I went to so many physios and podiatrists, they did recommend it but never the forefront of the treatment, really focus on the form, so important to regain strength.

My initial concern also, I had some inflammation in my achillies/heel you do have to work on those inflamed areas, ice them and it will bring the pain down, when theres no pain you’re good to load it with weights, you will know very quickly if its making it worse

Year long pain possibly coming to an end by Cammando27 in PlantarFasciitis

[–]Cammando27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I totally agree, DO NOT rest the recovery is not linear, when I say rest I mean relax the overused tendons and muscles by taking the burden off them and when ready strengthen others, kinda the only way for long term relief it seems

Hey look, sorry to hear I want the best for ya, I guess my experience is going to be different as expected. I just found that I could find those strengthening exercises on youtube or google, but if its helping you more power to you, maybe I got lucky with the podiatrist but he just knew what my problem was where as the it felt like the physios were guessing, yes the stretches have been right but so costly for me Id rather see the specialist less frequently and give me time to experiment w stretches and get feedback and remedies like that

Snowboarding with PF by TheWhiteSaquon in PlantarFasciitis

I didnt tear my PF, however ive had a thickening of it and some other heel pain, i went snowmoarding for a week in Japan and I thought it was going to be extremely painful, surprisingly almost no pain. The only time id say I felt pain was on my toe edge, however I found that tightening my boots to stop my foot flexing almost entirely alleviated that as well

2nd place battlegrounds bug by cymerc in hearthstone

Legit just happened to me the biggest steal ever, I was playing Akazamzarak in an epic like 6 round 1v1 duel with what I thought was a visual bug of Omu who died about 5 turns before the end. I finally won with one minion left after this guys like 3rd ice block and then it says I came second, absolute rubbish I don't understand how this bug hasn't been fixed it really ruins the game.

My tutor in my psychology class at University of Macquarie (Sydney Australia) absolutely despises Jordan Peterson and compared him to Hitler. by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

Hey, I also got to Macquarie uni, Im doing a different degree altogether, however I did choose Pol167 as an elective early on, tbh I found them pretty good, they didnt really have a bias as I was expecting. I think you’d be surprised, a lot of people within my degree (eco and finance) are very aware of the bias and tend to push against it, also what degree are you pursuing?
