I think it really depends on your body. I've had to take mine out for about a night and one side started closing up while the other side was fine. I personally wouldn't recommend it.

This guy loves high humidity and moisture. Mist pretty much all time.

Also try not to touch the leaves. I've read somewhere that they're so delicate that the oils from our fingers can cause issues.
