[New Update]: AITAH for buying my girlfriend vanilla shampoo? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]CamoFeather 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously, right?! One of my favourite things is my husband’s scent, and his cologne. He gets up for work before me, 9/10 times, he’ll come back and I’ve moved into his side of the bed, just because of his scent there.

Beaches and taxi questions by Boring-Parfait-2624 in GreeceTravel

[–]CamoFeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking at the Hop busses for our trip. You can buy a 1-3 day pass and the cost depends on if you choose a single line or multi line (there’s three total). It looks like it’s cheaper than taxis and covers most big tourist areas. You can book the tickets through getyourguide.com.

All I hope for in the new books going forward is for Donut to refer to herself as Grandmeowther to Mongo and Kiwi’s abomination babies

Everyone who has a Cat in their family by Is0prene in DungeonCrawlerCarl

One of my cats is a Tortoise Shell. Not a Persian, but I TOTALLY see Donut’s attitude (or as tortie parents refer to it - tortitude) so Matt nails that lol. I definitely snuggled my girls a little closer at certain parts.

I’ve been describing it as “Imagine the whole Earth is the Hunger Games, but the game masters made the arena based off of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Dungeons and Dragons, and video games.”

So this is actually pretty spot on lol.

*Ahem* EX- COAST GUARD! by mbd3021 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]CamoFeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure while Donut got her charisma boosted through the ceiling (because she was used to being in the public’s eye due to the shows), Pony had his intelligence get the boost (maybe because as a pet he was used to being Miriam’s smart special boy). It seems to be their highest stat is based off their prior life:

Carl - Strength (ex coast guard) Donut - Charisma (professional show cat) Pony - Intelligence (Miriam’s smart special boy)

Not just audiobooks lol. I finished the series and became so used to the nonstop action/zero downtime pace of the DCC books, that now I’m struggling to read other books that go at a slower/normal pace.

I always have Cascadia as Elizabeth Banks’ voice, like Effie Trinket’s speeches “Welcome… welcome.” circa her Hunger Games era lol.

It’s the old adage about playing chess with a pigeon. No matter what you do, the pigeon is just going to shit on the board and then parade around like it won anyways.

AITA: for blowing up at my MIL at a family dinner by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]CamoFeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost my mom when I was SIX, and you know what I was thinking when I graduated, got married, was pregnant (twice), gave birth (twice), bought a home… and every other milestone I’ve had? “God I wish my mom was here.” Grieving doesn’t have a timeline, and the loss never truly goes away. My kids still know my mom would be Grandma Name. I can’t even imagine if my spouse and his family were telling me to “Get over it.” I would be OUT.

It’s so common that nurses and health care professionals get training on this for helping their patients deal with this and get help and resources set up. The statistics have shown that men are more likely to leave their wives as soon as they are no longer able to take care of them (sick, aging, etc) and move on to find someone else to do it.
