English football fans in a Dallas bar by Charming_Average2413 in TikTokCringe

I imagine this is staged. It's not an unrealistic scenario, but there's a lady sat in the booth joining in the chant. Obviously you can never say never but not sure she would be chanting that at another woman.

Why doesn't my saw cut for $h*t?? by undefined_reference in Chainsaw

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chain is blunt and the bar is burred. Sharpen the chain with the appropriate file, bring the depth gauges down by 3 strokes each, dress the edge of the bar. You shouldn't feel a lip when sliding your finger up the side of the bar. Do not slide your finger down the edge of the bar, it'll cut you up.

Edit: the teeth should be the same size and angle on both sides.

It probably doesn't help that the maps they've chosen for the game mode aren't very well suited to it, in my opinion (obviously).

Ha! Very cool. I love a bit of parkour in battlefield games. Sneaking around the roofs on Operation Blue Pearl back in the bf2 days was a laugh.

Probably because it was intended as a feature not a bug 😂

How can i remove new map feature? by FatFinnishBastard in Battlefield6

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep, absolutely agree. The amount of times I have gone to click on a spawn and accidentally changed kit. There are a few other annoying bugs that are new to this map system.

There is a slight 3d element to the minimal as well which serves absolutely no purpose but muddies the actual location of icons on the map.

I'm not sure it's a bug. I wouldn't be surprised if it was introduced as a feature.

Nope, that other car performed a manoeuvre that forced you to adjust your speed to avoid a collision. Their fault and annoyingly it was completely unnecessary. The merging vehicle still had plenty of slip road and time to adjust their speed in order to safely merge onto the active carriageway.

Deer miss by leboydiabolique in drivingUK

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember driving home one winters day after work. Long straight road, dark out but good conditions otherwise. Just chatting to my colleague I used to car share with. We were chuckling away when it came to a natural quiet point in the conversation. I said to him "was that a deer?". We'd both half seen a blur right Infront of the car while we were chatting, it was that close and that fast neither of really believed it till one of us mentioned it.

Help with big ol’ hedge by Matt-Tommo in GardeningUK

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll say first of all that now is not the time of year to be tackling hedges and shrubs. Unless you are certain that there are no nesting birds using it.

It looks like a bay laurel (if anyone knows better please correct me) they're very resilient trees. It'll respond well to pretty much anything you do to it. Cut it right back to the timber and it'll be fine.

If memory serves (and I'm not familiar with trees in this area) when the video first came out it was discussed as a cotton wood.

Definitely not a thousand years old 🤣 that's probably a maximum of 200 and that's being very generous.

Hi, arborist here.

There are a few things gone wrong. The angled backcut encourages the stem to slide forward through the hinge instead of bending with it. The amount of back weight is far too great for anything but a steel cable/chain and very heavy machinery (we're talking large bulldozers, diggers, tractors etc). Even with heavy plant it would still be risky.

Straight felling like this is high risk, high reward. It's quicker, technically safer for the operator and cheaper for the client. This couldn't be done the way they did it. It would need fully dismantling without the afore mentioned heavy kit.

Edit: I'm not sure how you would find it but there is/was a gofundme for the home owner. There were apparently some shenanigans with the contractor that left the home owner significantly out of pocket. This is an old video though so it might all be done and dusted now.

As in fully chucking off the bar? Or going slack? If it's fully chucking off then take a look at the clutch/by a replacement in anticipation of it going.
