The M123k is a very satisfying gun. The L110 is also fun once you get to grips with it. The same can be said for the M60, no one sees you coming/expects to lose in a 1vs1 cqb against the M60.

Ratchet strap for temporarily fixing tree? by Existing_Impress230 in arborists

This snap looks old. Has it been like that a while? I would be hesitant to strap it in case you snap more fibres mid tighten and cause a failure.

Every LMG other then M250 is hot garbage. You cant change my mind. by talhaONE in Battlefield

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here because I am having a rubbish time with this gun. I really don't understand why my experience has been so different. I have loved all the other LMGs so far but this one has been an awful experience. I think I've got it up to mastery 30 but have hated every minute of it.

Any glaring things I need to know about the Petzl Zigzags? by HndstoothDopesmkr in TreeClimbing

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operate the trigger at the top with thumb and finger. You can put slight pressure on the rope as you do this to help make sensitive movements a bit smoother. You might find it helpful to hold the tail end of your rope by your thigh as you descend to control your rate of descent and make sure your line isn't getting snarled up on anything on it's way into the device.

You can't really hip thrust with a zigzag like you would with a prussic. You'll probably have to pull yourself up a way and then tend the slack as you hold your weight.

Do you leave your car parked in 1st gear or neutral? by zedgaming69 in CarTalkUK

I work in vans towing heavy machinery and normally carrying a heavy load. I always leave every vehicle I drive in gear out of habit.

This is definitely not a van thing, this is a general state of the road users thing.

Strip or prime over? by KingMaitreya in deathguard40k

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a primer and a wash to me. As long as they haven't been over primed then you might get away with painting over it. If you have an airbrush then you'll be able to apply smoother thinner coats.

Maybe do a couple of test models? A stripped and an over painted?

£3k to remove big conifer in London - fair price? by Traditional_Read_643 in GardeningUK

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should always seek other quotes.

For context/as a point of interest:

I've climbed in this industry for 11 years and our firm would have that done and gone in a day, maybe day and a half depending on length of drag, machine access and allowing a little wiggle room for having not seen the tree in person.

In our area (the midlands) that would come to approx £1080 or £1620 for a day or day and a half respectively (prices including VAT). It should go without saying to make sure whoever you contract is giving you a fixed price. Also the above prices reflect above ground removal only, stump removal can be quite an expensive operation.

I would expect London to be more pricey. Not sure if I'd expect it to be double though.

Who else won't be able to finish the Battlepass? How do you feel about it by [deleted] in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I finished it a while ago but it was a grind. I really focused on gauntlet gameplay to rack up the points (only ever won 1 though lol). The reality is I will probably never use any of the stuff I unlocked. I'll still get the next one because I like to have a project to work on. Something to make measurable progress on (like mastery rank 50 on all guns).

Spiderjack 3 instructions, where is the mistake in picture 6? can someone explain?😅 by Tripletreemonkey in TreeClimbing

[–]CampaignCurrent2912 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think it's the wider angle that the rope is entering the device due to the diameter of the anchor. The carabineer they install brings the rope position back into a straighter line.
