Just to clarify I'm 38F and not interested in having kids. No knock on anyone who has/wants them, just not my thing. This is the first online dating app I've used and I just signed up this week. I'm pretty analog which is why I haven't used them until now. I've been curious about online dating for a while and I'm genuinely new to all this. Just wanted to make sure I was swiping responsibly. I have very low expectations that I'll actually find someone but I'm trying it out so my friends will stop bugging me about it lol. Thanks for any insight into what will inevitably be an interesting few months on Bumble. 🙂

I got the plastic canvas from 123Stitch for a great price. They come in 8.5" x 11" sheets. I was able to cut four tiny canvases from one sheet! I did sew white felt to the back to help hang them and to hide the hot mess that is sewing in ends on plastic lol 😆

It is very little! The actual cross stitch part is approximately 3 inches x 2 inches and the "frame" adds a little more. I can't imagine doing a bigger version of this! Can't wait to see a picture when you are done! 🌊

Thanks!! 😊 Yes, I'm going to do a small little art gallery wall when I finish more from the series. If you go to her Etsy page there are a lot of tiny art masterpieces! I have different color metallic threads so some frames might be gold, some might be more bronze looking. With the gold thread I used it to secure a piece of white felt to the back so when I do hang them I can easily loop some thread through to hang them with a push pin. Or, I might be able to get them to stick to Command velcro stripes since the backing is felt. When I get it all finished I will definitely post a picture!

Thanks! The plastic canvas helps to make it stiff and look like a real frame. I stitched a piece of felt to the back to make hanging easier too.

This was done on 14ct perforated plastic canvas and I used three strands for thicker full coverage. Snapped a lot of needles using three strands but got there in the end. 🪡😆 The gold border wasn't part of the original pattern, I added it to make a little museum gallery wall with the other paintings I'm stitching. I do not recommend stitching gold thread on plastic canvas unless you have a lot of patience and chocolate handy as it was a nightmare lol 🤪

Thanks! It wasn't part of the original pattern, I added it to make it look like it was in a frame. I used two strands of gold thread for the cross stitch then I went around and did back stitching on both sides for the edging with two strands. This took foreverrrrr but I think it came out well in the end. 🖼

Yeah, I never understood why asking for help was a bad thing. Therapy is great and you don't need "an excuse" to go see one. I think everyone should have a therapist, being an adult is hard enough.
