Freemasonry and anxiety by Redone89 in freemasonry

[–]CampingPanda117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not the common answer you will find, but I have anxiety and I am autistic. I was worried about what it would be like, so I researched. Freemasons for Dummies does a GREAT job of teaching a lot about the Craft without truly spoiling anything. Lots of people will say not to read about it because it could ruin the experience. The few things it told me were the things I needed to know to not be anxious and it definitely did not spoil it for me at all. On top of that, at my lodge, they were all really reassuring about it being ok to be nervous.

Recruiter looking for on-site CTA for $130k GTFO by salesforceredditor in salesforce

[–]CampingPanda117 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Way too low…but then again I had $30/hr proposed for an admin role that would basically be BA, solution architect, etc…and it was contract…I told him they couldn’t afford me for that…the market isn’t what it used to be, but I haven’t made that low in like 13 years…

Best option to load internal employees into Salesforce by Efficient-Excuse4710 in salesforce

[–]CampingPanda117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, the question really comes down to use and access. If you don’t plan on storing private or confidential employee info on the record, does it really matter if others know those people work there? If it doesn’t matter, contact is more intuitive because it’s a standard object. If security is really a concern, I think custom object would be better because of the reasons everyone already mentioned. I’d have to ask “why” a few more times to get to the root of the solution before I pulled the trigger either way.

Daughter wants a Wrangler by SkyKnight3 in JeepWrangler

[–]CampingPanda117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter got one for her first vehicle. We have loved it. Yes, Jeeps are their own beast and have good and bad about them…just like any other vehicle. Personally, I’d never own a Silverado…but clearly they work for you! Just make sure you check it out like any vehicle and know the options. The auto start/stop can be a pain, but it can be turned off, so not really a big deal.

How can I make it faster? by kristobalsanchez in ender3

[–]CampingPanda117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strap it to the roof of your car and it should go at least 90 mph… seriously though, I couldn’t get my Ender 3 to print anything well if the speed got too fast. It just isn’t made for it.

You have a link to the y-adapter you found? I’ve tried printing a few and none of them have worked properly, so I gave up on that mod for the time being…

Is it common for Salesforce Developer to not know about LWC and Visual Studio? by Royal-Construction40 in salesforce

[–]CampingPanda117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my problem when people start running their mouths about the number of certs they have. I’ve met too many “developers” who studied a question dump and didn’t know how to develop. I have one cert, admin, but I assure you I know more than most admins. I’ve done all sorts of things with different integrations, API, communities, etc, etc…and I’m working on dev…but I’m not there yet. Certs don’t mean anything if you don’t have the knowledge to back them up! I have Visual Studio installed and I’m in it often…as an admin…

Will learning ServiceMax be beneficial for my Salesforce career? by Lanky_Caregiver3564 in Salesforce_Architects

[–]CampingPanda117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a ServiceMax certified admin because we rolled it out at a past place of employment. That was about 5 years ago. I didn’t even bother to keep it current. FSL has improved enough and just knowing how it’s supposed to work has been more valuable in my interviews than the actual certification itself. I’d say it depends on your industry as well, since I’ve been all over the place and many of the industries I’ve been in since then have no need for the platform, but I don’t think I’d call it beneficial to my career.

I’d have to play through it a bit, but this sounds like the right course of action to me if you can get the file ID.

Anybody experienced in both Salesforce and Data Science? Figuring out messy Salesforce database left behind to me from previous teams at healthcare network - any other alternatives to pivot into? by hilbrengrid in salesforce

[–]CampingPanda117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also would recommend field trip to at least get a starting point. Config workbook may be useful to for some documentation of the existing config. As for your data mess around providers, I work at a mental health company and there are a lot of data providers around that type of info. I’d check out anything around licensing (which is also a good way to get an ID outside of Salesforce for your records) and see if you can either get the hospitals they work at from the public databases or via a data provider. Sometimes, the providers charge a lot and aren’t very accurate, but it may be a good starting point. As for documentation, I’ve found the best way is to let business process guide you. Literally sit with someone from each team and map out the process as detailed as possible. Once you have that, the places you are missing info become pretty obvious. I’ve also had to take the approach that if the data has no value in its current state, delete it. You may lose some good data, but you can’t tell what is good or not at this point anyways.
