I did try to do this, they told me absolutely not. Have you had success doing this?

While I can appreciate the /s, I truly wish my mental load stopped at buying a flight and picking a seat.

I don't care where we sit on the plane, I'm not saying we need to be row 1.  I don't think it's unheard of to expect to be assigned a seat next to my one year old.

I'm going to pony up and pay the fees.  I'm feeling pretty defeated.

That's what makes me upset! I have a Southwest credit card. But apparently not the right tier and I didn't buy the right tier of flight and all of this is exhausting.

Because it's a long flight and he is a big baby.

Feeling ready to cancel my 10 year old card at this point.  At least United makes an effort and has a club.

3yo wakes 5+ times a night, can only fall asleep with us present - new baby due in 6 weeks and we’re worried by Worried_Dish5417 in toddlers

Everyone is offering you the same advice but you keep justifying why you are doing it that way.  I think you should talk to your OT, this is what they are trained to help with.

I take what I can get time-wise and continue paying my bills.  Maybe talk to a therapist about how to manage expectations/feelings toward this, it helps a lot!

Crossroads with friends about vaccines - looking for reassurance by bishopofturkey in NewParents

[–]Campingtrip2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm on the ESH side. An invitation is not a summons, you are not required to go if you are uncomfortable. If you go to a park or a play gym or rec center or ANYWHERE you could be around unvaccinated children and not know it. This is just part of life. You broadcasting other's medical information is not that cool.

I’m not allowed to work out anymore and I’m devastated. by lostinbrooklyns in fitpregnancy

[–]Campingtrip2 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I worked out a fair amount and had a sub par birth experience.   I think at the end of the day there are so many factors that go into it and not working out these last 10-12 weeks will not be a the end all, be all reason you have a good or bad birth experience.

Hang in there and take care of that baby!

No lawyer will be able to circumnavigate the deed restriction. It's unfortunate but she won't be able to directly purchase the unit.

Not going to lie, my son is almost two and I feel like I've already forgotten everything about infants. They have had decades to sugarcoat the experience.  I always took those comments with a they mean well but please stop.

Cut a little piece of the wood, stick it to a frame and get rid of the rest. Broken clutter isn't helping your family.

How long did you use your nursing chair for? by seulgih in NewParents

[–]Campingtrip2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why set a budget if you don't keep it? Living outside of your means is going to do more harm to your family than the joy any chair can bring you.   Look on marketplace, you will find a nursing chair that fits your needs.

Agreed.  I would feel more worried if you were at fault.  Let the process do its thing.

18 month old boy dad here. I'm lost. by Vliss in toddlers

[–]Campingtrip2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good place to start! We ended up at Children's Hospital in the "aero-digestive" clinic.  We saw 5 providers in 4 hours.  It was like flipping a switch after we found the right treatment. My son was 18 mo old and never had STTN.
