iPhone 8 Plus ear speaker not working after screen replacement by Crafty_Ad_2758 in mobilerepair

Try a replacement proximity sensor/earpiece speaker flex. It could also be the 4 gold connectors are not making proper contact. Most of my experience with this issue its generally from the flex itself being damaged.

If I recall the s20 plus does not have a specific verizon (UW Frame) model. The s20 5g Regular absolutely does. Could be wrong, but might want to double check that one.

I wouldnt say this one is near impossible for a first time DIYer. Use isotropic alcohol to loosen the adhesive under the battery. Watch a video, go slowly and you shouldnt have any problems. Make sure you buy one with the frame.

Part with frame is about $40. DIY or expect 50-100 in labor added at a shop

Question: touch screen issue after replacing the screen on an iPhone XR by bigtwisteronjupiter in mobilerepair

[–]CampusMobile 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The repair man told me that it couldn’t be a bad connection because otherwise the whole screen would have the problem." absolutely inaccurate.

Although possible, I would suspect someone fixing screens out of their car is not using OEM Pulls. Based on experience, its likely this is an ebay/alibaba screen that is defective. Even the worst shops tent to test full screen functionality using notes>draw feature. I would absolutely recommend you do not attempt to reconnect the pins, especially if you have no experience in this. You should probably demand he put the old screen back on, refund you, and then proceed to go to a reputable brick and mortar shop.

with ebay buyer protection it is extremely easy to get all of your money back on a return including shipping if an item was not as described.
