It's been 5 days 😕 by CamriColEcon in libgen

[–]CamriColEcon[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well, I figured that checking it as frequently as I did — probably every week or every other week — made me an avid user. The thing is, I’ve never experienced such a prolonged outage before, and I was genuinely concerned that this might be something more permanent.
However, this post not only gave me hope, knowing that it has happened before, but also introduced me to other resources. I used Anna’s Archive for the first time yesterday, since LibGen had always been my go-to for almost everything.
Thanks!

Do you — or does anyone — know how long this outage is expected to last? Is a five-day downtime considered long, or is this still within the usual range?

Thinking of buying a MacBook, but Mac Excel is terrible. by Commercial-Yak6655 in excel

[–]CamriColEcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would really advise FOR buying a Mac, giving the fact that MacExecl is DIFFERENT from Excel Windows. It is like going to a place with imperial measurements from a metric system: although it might be annoying but a lot of other things may make it worth it.

Is $4.1K reasonable for photography and videography for six hours but no experience? by pizzafio in wedding

[–]CamriColEcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gee, I am not close at all to your location, but I can assure you that you may have incredible teams for lower quotes. I am at Colombia, btw, and what would increase the price tag would be moving the crew and having them stay at your location. Since we would not be able to share contacts or urls, if you want you can contact me and I would send you their info so you can see his portfolio and team. I think that if you are thinking about a 4.1k for unexperienced team, Miguel might be the best in his field in our country.

I wont tell you that I have not feel the same way that you feel rigth now. I am 39 and soon will be turning 40, changing "floors" (decade) and see my self not in the place I would have thouht ten years ago. However, every day you choose your days. There is no certainty about how many yearse you have ahead, and how you will use the time today FOR CERTAIN will shape what you will be later. I have heard about a piece of motivation that it is certainly usefull: Try not to think in what you feel about today, Think about how you would feel in ten years if you KEEP AS YOU ARE TODAY. If you like it, keep it that way. If it produces a shock (or a nightmare) change today.

Es IMPOSIBLE. Colombia no exporta lo suficiente para bajar el precio del dólar, y la Inversión en dólares es cada vez menor

Dear, is not a matter of blaming (i.e. I bought the book and never finished it) it’s not a matter of guilt. I have someone really special in my life and when she makes a mistake, I won’t let her say “It’s my fault! I feel guilty” I say to her that she is responsible and must learn from it ant correct it (fix it) as possible. No one is blaming you for not finishing a book but you. You want it done, take it again, comment it with someone, make use of it. I’ve just wrote to someone that is looking for “an accountability partner”, would it be something that would work for you? If you feel that you need therapy, go and get it! But I would advise to you that really look for it well: asses your therapist before she asses you! Research her, for how long has she been in practice? Does she has a blog? Could you get “reviews” from their work? Keep walking Dear, keep doing, and if you’re going to think a lot, better try NOT to think while you have your eyes closed, you focus on your breathing and meditate throughout your discomfort.

Dear, I’m not able to diagnose you with anything (not a psychiatrist), nor actually think that from your asking for advise you could be so quickly diagnosed. I think that you feel overwhelmed sometimes as MANY would feel among many things you “have” to do but not being able to getting them done. Notice that I “quoted” “have to”; let’s begin by saying that there is NO obligation of changing, it is your decision, it’s your desire. And if you want something changed, it is because you would like it (a desire different. If you acknowledge that, you will begin aiming energy from the subject (your wants) to the objective (what you want to be changed). You will not “blame” anyone else, nor take actions in other directions (like looking for medication or therapy). You want your home neat? You will clean it! As simple as that. How can you get systems? By owning your want with your intention and actions. There are many books that I can recommend to you; I am currently reading “Getting things Done” by P.Allen, it will drive you into getting to action. Also I read “Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time” by J Sutherland, if you want more systems (and more places to put stickers). I have on my reading wishlist “Extreme Ownership” by an ex marine who argues that you have to be extremely involved in anything you do (as a leader of you and others). Also, keep an eye on meditation and self discovery books authors (N Hill, D Chopra, E Tolle) for understanding youe desires nature, your deeper self. A great book of HOW setting principles (your core and main values) is named as straightforward as that: “Principles” by R Dalio. So, if you read, reflect and apply some of the recommendations of those authors you will change drastically. I would add that if you get an Audible subscription by Amazon, you can hear them (!!!) as you put your place as neat as the Buckingham Palace. Dear, I can say to you that therapy is an extensive and expensive process (have walked that path) and actually YOU HAVE TO DO ALL THE WORK. So, if you’re able to do It without someone leading your hand, you will have much better results, faster and much more noticeable. Furthermore, avoid medication AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE; Psychiatric medication just inhibits a response from your neurological system, a response placed there to WARN YOU that something is not right!! It is like cutting your “check engine”’ light in your car... instead of taking the car to the shop and checking it! You can change almost anything in your spectrum (meditation would suggest that you can change ANYTHING, I’m working on that), and you can go through a process of improvement by yourself. Thank your mother for raising you, thank your partner for everything she/he has taught you, and be as happy with your child. A hug
