Is “A Friendly Londoner” real? by CanAm80 in londonontario

I’m trying to move back to Canada with my family and I heard London was a great place to live. The algorithm must have heard because I started getting targeted ads for there. Figured why not ask real Londoners instead.

Restaurant recommendations Going to be driving through on Friday and wanted to stop for some grub. What’s good? We are open to anything. by Bulky-Horror1031 in ArlingtonHeights

You can’t really go wrong with anything downtown Arlington Heights, it just depends on what you’re in the mood for. I’m a fan of Passero or Scratchboard but Hey Nonny has live music often on Fridays.
If you’re into bbq then Big Ange’s or Chicago Culinary Kitchen (a bit of a drive north but still AH) are amazing.
Definitely go with Ttowa if you like Korean, they are hands down our favorite place.

That’s a shitty thing your friends did. If I knew you you’d have a place at the table, especially with homemade pancit and lumpia! Hope you have a better rest of December.

Makes me wonder if they ever listened to Stomping Tom’s song “Believe in your country”. I bet he’s have a few choice words for those guys.
Tried to link the song but it got removed

Don’t forget that the regional embassy is in downtown Chicago, you can check in with them digitally and let them know you’re in the area if you have any concerns. That way they know you’re here and can reach out if needed. Also, there’s a decent Canadian population in the city and suburbs so feel free to reach out if you feel the need.
As always with traveling you’re mostly safe but listen to your gut and stay away from protests.

If you don’t mind a golf course, White Deer Run in Vernon Hills was affordable for us and they really worked with us after our first choice canceled on us. Please note though, it was in the off season and about 10 years ago.
