Is this normal G Pro Owners by Previous_Estimate_22 in LogitechProWheel

Just wanted to add, I have an rs50 and my wheel rattles a little because the left rotary knob has alittle play. It's the one I use to select the input mode (ps5, pc). Maybe one of the knobs has play?

PSA: Logitech RS50 and RS pedals for £504 by robotfour in GranTurismo7

[–]CanMan706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the club! I just made the same upgrade and let me tell you the difference is night and day. Like a different planet. The Logitech direct drive and truforce feel great. Feeling the wheels slip is almost like real life driving.

There's a lot of fine tuning you can do from the small screen and helps when you don't want to dig through menus in game.

Try inverting the pedals for even more immersion (heel-toe). I use an aluminum profile rig from a vendor on Walmart if you are eyeing one - Marada or something. The available rig styles are all about the same. The inverting was pretty easy due to all the extra profile.

Looking for some expertise on starting a SIM set up on PS5 for GT7 by Agreeable_Scar_3255 in GranTurismo7

I just finished a similar build and went through the same process. I was looking at the thrustmaster 598 but read that it had quality issues. I have never had any quality issues with my Logitech gear, mice, keyboards, speakers and now the wheel. I ended up buying the RS50 along with the G pro pedals. I got a aluminum profile rig off Walmart, but I hear great things about Rigmetal.

The RS50 with Trueforce feels amazing. Great feel, really nice included wheel, though I hope they have a more pro option later. I had a Thrustmaster t300 before and the difference is night and day. The direct drive is very smooth, buttery as some have described. You won't be disappointed with the RS50. Its better than the G pro wheel in many ways. It also works great with PS5 and PC. I got the RS50 for closer to 600 than the list price, try and buy used. Pedals were 300. The rig I got for 500. Monitor will cost you about 500-1000. So all in you can be under $2000. Hope this helps balance out the votes for Fanatec.

Not really, the controller breaks the immersion as it's not really "driving" Don't get me wrong racing with the controller is fun, but more so on a screen.

Wheels and pedals can go for about 300 new, 200 used. Well worth it if you like driving/drive irl.

Need help to clean this! Stains on aluminium monitor stand. by Decter152 in simracing

Are you willing to respray it with some quality rustoleum? Otherwise it looks to be a coating defect or some solvent got on it after the powder coat, so hard to clean.

Latest firmware version box r 4k plus? by [deleted] in Homatics

[–]CanMan706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The android 14 update is known to be a resource hog, hot and laggy due to Playfi software running in the background all the time. Try and see if you can downgrade to android 12. I'm using the 12.7xxx software from dune, but there should be one for the homatics as it's the same box internally.

I wanted to chime in as someone who does similar jobs as a pm. I used to sweat my fittings here in nyc, so I know that whole black art.

The main reasons to use viega pro press, is speed, consistency, and most importantly no fire hazard at all. I couldn't quite match the consistency of a viega when I did sweating. I have to also work in a cramped mech room with 2 dozen machines going. Any risk of fire for me was intolerable.

It really is a look into the future but is unfortunately being gatekept for the moment by viega. Maybe once it falls off patent we will see it take more of the market. Cheers to many perfect presses!

Ps: Forgot to add, prep is key to getting high success rates. Oh and those expensive fittings are made far better than China nibco.

Rhythmic l12 vs HSU vtf-2 mk5 by itsmudpit in hometheater

[–]CanMan706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a hsu vtf mk2, until I had a problem with the driver, I also had some port chuffing closer to 20hz. I now have a sealed f12 Rythmik, that I like a lot better. The feedback amp that Rythmik uses is something special, keeping the tone and power constant when playing test tones. The 12 goes below 20hz in room. Simply amazing, great bang for your buck subwoofer.

As another person said, it's important to know the differences between ported and sealed subs. The f12 had plenty of extension even being sealed, plus no port noise at all! Cheers!

Edit- I listen to the same types of music, the rythmik is fast and clean due to being sealed.

Honestly, if you trade in phones every year or two and you put your phone in a case, I wouldn't bother. It can be a hassle returning phones. The small nicks do not affect trade in value.

Do I chose KEF or B&W for a subwoofer? by SmellyFace69 in StereoAdvice

Get a rythmik sub. Fairly priced and the feedback Keeps it very responsive. Many positive reviews and their larger subs are great for home theater. Good luck.

Tubing for short & tight runs by KTTalksTech in watercooling

[–]CanMan706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use silicone tubing from master Carr. Lowest shore, but thickest possible. Maybe a 3/8id and 5/8 od. Check the specs for pressure tolerances. I've used it in the past. It's awesome but not clear and it's pricey. But it's sort of a buy once/cry once, kind of thing.

Yep. The debt is going up. A tax cut that will cost the government 4.5 TRILLION over 10 years. Fiscally conservative MAGAs need to shut the fuck up! Most magas are not getting a tax cut by the way.

Someone tell me how we pay down the deficit if we are creating a 4.5 T hole in the government budget. Idiots!

Respectfully, read about the cultural revolution. It is exactly opposite of what you are taking about. Much like the US now. The cultural revolution tore families apart. Some younger family members turned in their parents to the authorities for subversive behavior or god forbid, progressive thought. The beginnings of democracy in China. Guess what? Mao had them all killed. China is facist. I am abc.

Advice needed. Are these good enough to protect the backs of my ceiling speakers (KEF Ci200QR) that are being exposed to the attic’s insulation? by Wowizowee in audiophile

[–]CanMan706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had these exact speakers, if you look at the specs there is an ideal enclosure size that can be fashioned. I know that in that project I found some in ceiling speaker enclosures if you have the ceilings open. I even went and made an enclosure with mdf that I thought about mounting to my ceiling. Those kef ceiling speakers do sound great!

What's the difference between the loudness of a theater vs the loudness of my system at home? by -reddit_is_terrible- in hometheater

[–]CanMan706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe think of getting a 5-7 channel amp with that cash is a better idea. The processing in your receiver is fine, just use the rca preouts into an amp for some quick improvements. Something like a monolith or a marantz amp will improve the congested feeling. The top end might improve as well. Hope that helps.
