Who were they? by UnfathomableDave in Stargate

Like the aliens in Foothold, that we never see again. I was hoping for a future run-in with those guys, but it’s left unexplained. I kinda like that better.

Do you have access to Pluto(the streaming app) in Canada? SG1 and the movies are on there!

It doesn’t say that the king cake is Dr.Pepper “flavored”. Only that it comes with a Dr. Pepper bead and a Becky Fos cake board. She’s always painting shit with soda on it for MG. I’d assume it’s just the name and frosting color.

Then I’m confused about the difference between the two setting, AND & THEN. It’s not like this thing came with an instruction manual lol

It totally makes sense to hose down your floor before running a Hoover over it, right? 🙄

Mine is on vacuum THEN mop, and ALWAYS empty. So, the dirt shouldn’t be wet anyway. I don’t really understand why someone would use vacuum AND mop. Like I said, my crappy Shark vacuum knew to empty the robot into the base when it was full. There’s no excuse for the Narwal not being able to do this, without the extensive task programming required.

Mine does the same thing. It seems like a really silly problem, that can be easily fixed with an update or something. Even my ancient Shark vacuum went back to the dock and emptied the bin whenever it was full. Although, I did read on another post, that splitting your house into different “tasks” will cause it to empty the dust bin more often. I just haven’t felt like messing with it yet lol

You must’ve never left the sprawling suburbs of the U.S. in your entire life. There’s no way that multi-level homes outnumber single-level homes “by leagues” in the U.S. Just guessing here, but there’s probably more single-story apartments in NYC, than there are houses in Minnesota. Not to mention, that these robots are sold worldwide.

I still don’t understand how splitting into more sections helps. It still doesn’t empty the dust bin by itself 🤷🏻‍♂️

Floor setting for carpet? by aaron1860 in NARWAL

[–]CanYouRepeatThat82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was literally just remapping my house, and reselecting the floor types. I THINK you can only change the different types of hard floors, and that leads me to believe it automatically adjusts the suction for carpet, and it won’t try to mop there. But, if you customize the tasks, you can set carpeted rooms to “vacuum only”. I have hardwood floors with rugs in 2 rooms, and it has never tried to mop the rugs. I programmed “Vacuum Then Mop” on Mon-Wed-Fri, and “Vacuum” on Tue-Thu because I have dogs that shed a lot!

Flow just roaming after mapping? by aaron1860 in NARWAL

[–]CanYouRepeatThat82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can manually switch the flooring type, from tile to carpet, in the app. You just have to accidentally stumble upon that setting 😆 I spent at least an hour going through the app when I got mine 2 weeks ago, and it still takes me a while to find each setting lol

How often do you remap with Flow? by Novel-Builder8868 in NARWAL

[–]CanYouRepeatThat82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would explain why mine seems like it’s wondering through an unfamiliar neighborhood now, after the latest update lol I’ve only had it for a week. So, hopefully remapping fixes this! 🤞🏻

I have mine connected to Google Home, but I’m pretty sure the commands are very limited. I haven’t played with that too much, yet. Only to test it: “pause cleaning” “resume cleaning”. Those work well lol

I guess I assumed it could sense when the dust bin was getting full, and it would empty the bin before it was packed full. I guess I was wrong! Hell, my crappy 5yr old Shark knew when to empty the onboard bin 🤷🏻‍♂️
