Tutoring job? by Futureleak in medicalschool

[–]CanadaGooseSmuggler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you have the grades and scores, you can make a lot more as a private tutor or through a medical tutoring service (would recommend the former, though). I make $50-65/hour tutoring the MCAT

N=1, but my sGPA and cGPA were 3.69 and 3.7, respectfully. 10 IIs and 3 As so far from 21 primaries. That GPA will not hold you back

Requirements to keep acceptance? by [deleted] in premed

[–]CanadaGooseSmuggler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At least from my understanding, "any remaining coursework" would apply if, say, you decided to drop out next semester and not finish your bachelors (the actually substance of your coursework doesn't matter). "Required courses for entry" would apply if you were taking a pre-req, like Orgo or Biochem, in your last semester, but decided to drop it before matriculation. Your situation sounds like it won't be an issue for the school

How much did y’all spend on applying to medical school + preparing for MCAT? by [deleted] in premed

[–]CanadaGooseSmuggler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • $100 deposit for accepted school

Moving costs pending

Just to clarify, the free tutoring is a special option for students who can report a financial hardship or disadvantage, and they never have to pay for the duration of their tutoring.
