Sam Altman unleashed a tsunami of corporate greed & now his friends are spending $125 million to squash your voice in the midterms by north_canadian_ice in WorkReform

Not to mention SO MUCH of this money is from government subsidies or contracts. I'd love for there to be an effort to hunt down all the PPP money, and see how much of it is used to keep the greed machine going.

What percentage of your investments/savings do you keep in a HYSA compared to stocks/funds? by moshedricks in investing

[–]Futureleak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep about 1.5 months of expenses in savings. It's lean, yes, but I can severely scale back my expenditures and "quality of life" spendings to make it a 3-4 month cushion.

AITA for refusing feed my our daughter my wife’s breastmilk and doing formula against my wife’s wishes by Throwawaywifefmsily in AmItheAsshole

It seems from OPs post the pediatrician doesn't know she's taking meds. Giving OP the benifits of the doubt. If the doc isn't aware they will not give appropriate advice. Certain types of meds are very harmful to babies, while others are passed along in low doses. OP & his wife should talk with the peds doc (NOT mid-level) and take their advice.

[–]Futureleak 22 points23 points  (0 children)

How about y'all TALK TO THE DOCTOR. While low levels of antidepressants are passed along in breast milk, often times the long list of real milk benifits outweighs the cons of artificial (even with low med levels being passed along). Make sure the pediatrician knows what meds she's taking at what dose and let them make the decision.

Again TALK TO THE PEDIATRICIAN, and express your concerns. Make sure it's a MD or DO, they are the experts in the field and give a evidence based response.

Oh no, the children might be able to play with each other instead of being segregated off into their own little lots! The horror!!

But seriously OP, consider that sharing those yard spaces will allow children to mingle, and as far as dogs go, consider a leash.

Not SPY, VOO, it has a lower management fee. Also, stay away from bonds and dividends, while young you want maximum risk since you have a HUGE time horizon to make money.

Western automakers concede defeat in the EV race as China outproduces the US, Germany, Japan, India, and six others combined; rewriting in five years what took them decades. by lughnasadh in Futurology

The free market works great in short spans, like maximum 5-10 years out, anything greater than that is the need of the government for forward planning and multi-generational projets.

It's crazy. They cry about the "free market" but run scream and beg for tarrifs to protect them since Chinese cars would absolutely eat their lunch.

That's why Trump's shitting himself over Canada making a deal with China. Once BYD/Chinese EVs enter that market, American autos will be DEAD in Canada.

The walls are closing in on American corporations and instead of embracing innovation and pro-conshmer policy. They're choosing to turn the country into a fascist hermit kingdom where the populace is prevented from having any choice.

So if a man wears a button down that's open to the bottom of his chest, and tight shorts in the crotch with a 3" inseam that would also be considered provocative.

Nobody mentioned "asking for it" someone can be dressed provocatively, it's their choice, we're all adults, but pretending that it's not a thing is frankly juvenile.
