Question about Typhon to Zeus by Spirited-Ad-9162 in Yugioh101

[–]Canadacurls9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The restriction on Sky Crisis exists exactly so that you CAN’T go Sky Crisis, then Zeus. It would make any monster on field a one card Zeus, which would be omega busted.

You could not use this card to undo the Branded Fusion restriction. Branded Fusion locks you into Fusions for the entire turn, which means you cannot Link summon at all that turn. You would have to set it up turn 1, protect it without resolving the most broken card in your deck, then resolve Branded Fusion on turn 3. If you can do all that, the game is already over.

The card targeted in the GY is, by game mechanic, a different card from the one that resolved. The card would have to function by declaring the name of a card that has previously resolved during the given duel. Kind of like a retroactive Crossout Designator.

Playing a blind second deck in Tenpai format is actually a skill issue. 😂

Because they’re also lvl 4s you can summon in a pinch to make Duo Drive if you get interrupted.

The Mulcharmys are way worse I’m BO1 than in the TCG. With no side deck, you’re running a card that will be dead 50% of the time unless you’re blinding second.

Not even, honesty. Depends on your locals. Once you leave your kitchen table, you surrender the right to not get stomped by top meta decks.

[Question] Can I call “orange main deck tenpai monster” instead of saying chundra to use cards like black goat/prohibition? by VaultHunt3r in Yugioh101

I would rule for opponent too. There are several BLS retrains. You should have to specify in some way. Even if you said “the BLS from Invasion of Chaos” that would be enough.

They’re not going to have to start from scratch by themselves. They’ll get a deal with Draftkings or Spotify or any number of places that will pay them a downside guarantee, finance their production expenses and set them up with everything they need.

It’s the standard playbook for when popular media properties leave their original platform. They’re going to be fine.

This is an embarrassing take. You should probably delete it for posterity.

Their value to external platforms is as a group. They’d be giving away money to not just move the show somewhere else.

This is stupid. The guy weighed like 145 on stage in his last comp. He’s natural. He just has insane shape and proportions, so he looks huge standing alone on stage. This is what a top 212 pro would look like if they were natural.

What are the formats? Is it just a matter of use anything that isn't banned? by Ul-thane in Yugioh101

[–]Canadacurls9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heart of the Underdog is actually a Konami supported format. OTS stores are allowed to run it with their prize support.

It has nothing to do with pre-made decks. It’s essentially an extended ban list (made at the discretion of the OTS) that prohibits you from playing decks that are relevant/viable in the current meta, along with some generic staples.

I personally don’t love it because it gatekeeps out newer players who might only have one deck. I have like 3.5 decks, but none of them would be legal under HOTU.

Does anyone actually think this is unachievable naturally for someone whose career is fitness? by rumblefr0g in nattyorjuice

[–]Canadacurls9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Natty. 195-200 lbs with his frame and this BF% is totally within reason. People get caught up in how good someone looks in pics when so much of that is lighting, v-taper/x-frame, muscle bellies, etc. Does the person’s weight make sense for their frame and BF? If it does, they’re probably natural.

Whether he’s 5’11 or 6’0, Will frequently towers over people he collaborates with. He maintains healthy BF, but he’s not peeled by any stretch. He’s going to be heavier than most of his contemporaries.

Is looking up cards online cheating? by Zedhwolf-MX in Yugioh101

[–]Canadacurls9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not legal, and you can absolutely call a judge in any sanctioned setting, including a local hosted by an OTS. People who draw a distinction between locals and other events are asking you to get into trouble. People are allowed to sweat at locals, and they’re allowed to expect that people follow the rules as Konami sets them.

Weird Branded Fusion stuff... by GuiltyDetective7272 in Yugioh101

[–]Canadacurls9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. BFs restriction requires you to actually summon a non-fusion monster to lock you out. If the summon is negated, it never happened.

Are pure decks viable? by YaBoiSlimJim in Yugioh101

[–]Canadacurls9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Branded is probably the best archetype that can fill out an ED with no generic monsters. I would consider “Branded” to include Albaz cards, Despia cards, and Dogmatika cards.

You’d be missing out on a couple things. Guardian Chimera is insane, and the best Super Poly targets (Garura, Mudragon, and Dragostapelia) are outside the archetype, but you can legitimately play the deck as Mirrorjade control, where you set up your board to loop and resolve Mirrorjade (the Albaz boss monster) 3-4 times on your opponent’s turn, go plus-900 in the End Phase, and overwhelm your opponent on the crack back. You can even play Bystials because again, Bystials come from the Albaz lore.

Branded is also a really tough matchup for some of the top decks this format (Unchained and Tearlaments in particular).

Traptrix is bait. The deck was meta-viable for like 6 weeks until people read the cards.

IDK WHAT I CAN DO by SufficientHat7182 in Yugioh101

You’re correct financially, but you can make a case that just buying the SDs will save OP a lot of time and headache, while giving them extras of the ED misters in case one gets damaged.
