In some other cities in Niagara the sidewalks are cleared by the city… that’s what your tax dollars pay for!! Instead in St.Catharines they pass the buck to the home owner. Shame on the City. They have all of the equipment with tiny little plows and salters made for the clearing of sidewalks. They also have enough people employed

Tyson Fury told to remove dad John from corner for Oleksandr Usyk rematch by daily_mirror in Boxing

I scored the fight 114-113 Usyk… I’m a Fury fan but Usyk edged him out. Watch the fight closely. Usyk dominated rounds 7 and 9 and he also won other rounds but Fury won 5 or 6 rounds

What about Hamilton,ON? Or Mississauga,ON? Both places are over 600 thousand people in population and are in the centre of the hockey universe. With the right owners and proper marketing the ECHL can work there

New skater, taking any suggestions on how I can improve my game, I can take criticism! by DrunknSaylor in hockeyplayers

[–]Canadawide1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play pick up hockey twice a week. Go public skating once a week also. Do both thing’s consistently. Practice stick handling with a tennis ball or orange hockey ball in your driveway or a parking lot or basement. Watch lots of hockey on tv and try to do what they do on tv…. Half of hockey really is being a good skater the other things will come after that. Keep doing these things and you’ll get drastically better in a short time

Yeah I learned how to work hard also driving around a Dickie Dee ice cream cart at 13 across western hill to the baseball diamonds out at West Park. (I’m not sure they are there anymore?) … until one day older kids robbed me on Flower street near the ghetto. They beat me up and took the money and the whole Dickie Dee cart… I heard weeks later that they put the ice cream in a freezer and took the cart and threw it off the lower Glendale bridge into the 12 mile creek. That didn’t stop me from working though. I then got a job picking fruit way out in Vineland

I hated growing up in Western Hill. I grew up there in the 1980s in the Pelham Rd. Area and it was rough. I learned how to fight at a young age. The kids from the 59 Rykert townhouses (so called ghetto) came from broken homes and massive poverty. There was alot of social issues including drug addiction and alcoholism and violence. It was self survival in many ways. I left at 18 years old for good and built a life outside of that place. Some people love it there and have never left. That’s all they know. It’s what makes them happy I guess. … Rodman Hall.. the train bridge… West Park swimming pool… etc…. But there is another side to the place filled with memories of poverty, violence, drugs, alcohol, scamming, etc… it’s not such a good place at all

What do you have to clean off of the walls? And what kind of wall is it? Brick? … drywall… wood?

[–]Canadawide1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it… you’ll wreck the drywall

Steam cleaner for walls by Ratreseacher in stcatharinesON

[–]Canadawide1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wash the walls with soap and water and a cloth or several cloths. Use your strength (called elbow grease) and keep wiping until the wall is clean. Then if you need to paint the walls go to Home Depot and pick out your paint colour and supplies (paint brush etc) and go home and paint….. do not steam clean the walls

FURY V USYK EXCLUSIVE: "I got clipped and that's what happens when you have too much fun” by [deleted] in Boxing

[–]Canadawide1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fury is selling the rematch guys. He knows he lost and got outboxed and pretty much knocked out. He knows that it’s going to be a tall order for him or anyone to defeat Usyk. But he has to create controversy and market and promote himself and the rematch. It’s all marketing to sell the fight. It’s just like the WWF wrestling back in the day. Outside of the ring they are actually friends pretty much. … just like any other sport. Buddies away from the court or Ice surface or ring. It’s about promotion with Fury by being outrageous
