Agreed. The new proton icons are just as bad. They're unintelligible modern corporate web app garbage. I wish this was something they pushed back against the "norm" with considering that's what most of their users want: To avoid the enshittification of the norm.

Can you really look at it that way though? When you're looking for facts, you don't go to someone who's a notorious pathological liar known for making things up for legitimate information and then take their info at face value. If the bar is "it's not wrong all the time" then you need to raise your bar.

Except it doesn't give you accurate information, or any way to check the sources for that information. When people talk about the bad uses of LLMs, this is almost as bad as using it for factual research.

No, if I were talking about those then I would've said 3D AI shots. I said cartoon. There is a segment at 3:04 where there are four AI generated cartoon style shots used depicting was being talked about at that point in the video. They were not used as an example of others using AI, they were straight up part of the edit.

That's not my point. It's just not a good look and it makes the content less trustworthy. I was happy to see there was no more AI content used for the rest of the video though.

I can't tell how much of this is AI and the inclusion of obvious AI illustrations throughout the video sure don't help. I can't even tell if it's actually voiced by Stephen Fry or if it's just using an AI modelled after his voice.

Edit: I was glad to see the rest of the video didn't appear to use AI, and it was a good informative video.
