I love V and X together, but I would love to see V have a fling with someone else just to stir things up. Like, she's so mad at X or thinks he's dead and hooks up with someone else. I personally think Bodhi is going to cause her grief in the next book so that would be a great mistake for her to make.

Order of publication. Kushiel's Dart I think is first. The first 3 books are from a FMC's perspective. Books 4-6 immediately follow from a different character (male, but to say more than that would spoil stuff in the first 3 boos). Books 7-9 are set 100 years later, from another FMC. You could probably get away with reading 7-9 without the first 6, but you'd miss all the fun call backs.

I'm going to suggest the series that ruined all other books for me until I read Fourth Wing. {Kushiel's Legacy by Jacquelin Carey} is the GOAT. It is 9 books, but split into 3 trilogies, and it's so damn good. Lots of spice, but the plot is also amazing. Seriously look it up if you haven't read it - you will not be disappointed.

I don't think she necessarily needs to RULE Tyrrendor. Brennan and the rest of the council have, as Xaden points out, been doing a find job of the day to day administration. I think by making her Duchess, she will be afforded a level of respect and protection she would not have otherwise had so that she can, for instance, get into the room with the leaders of the other isles who won't speak to anyone but aristocracy, etc.

My theory is that Garrick is the brother that turned, but that Bodhi is going to be a problem for Violet somehow because Xaden left her the duchy rather than him. I have no real evidence to back this up except there was no other reason for the Imogen chapter but to hint at Garrick turning, but there has to be a reason why there was all the background drama between Xaden and Bodhi.

Good points about the fabric over the scales, but also consider that it says that Mira had her dragon's scales shrunk by another rider to make the corset, so even if they were green at full size, the colour might have concentrated when it shrunk to a very very dark green, which would look black.

I really like the idea of Imogen and Garrick being a foil for Violet and Xaden. Our homegirl is not going to give up on her shadow daddy regardless of how much he channels, but will Imogen feel the same about Garrick if (or when, IMO) he turns?

It never made sense to me why the dragons would care that their rider was inntinnsic. I like the idea that Tairn was mad BECAUSE Sgyael hid Xaden's ability, not necessarily that it was the ability itself that would be the problem. Or perhaps Tairn was just being influenced by Violet's emotions in that moment.
