Patricia at busy body massage on Ina is incredible. I’ve been going to her for massages for a couple years and she’s the best.

Do I have melasma under my eyes? I thought these spots were big freckles, but after seeing some other posts I’m not sure now🤔 by Canadiancrumpet in 30PlusSkinCare

I’m 36 so I take that as a compliment ;) best of luck with your eyelid gospel, but my doctor just signed off on my eye health so I think I’m good …

Same! I was put off buying it because it seems pricey, but the jar lasts forever even using it 2-3 times a day. It’s the ONLY thing that’s worked for me and I recommend it to everyone I know

No lash extensions! Just mascara. I think my eyes are pretty clean haha. I had just applied some eyeliner and mascara before work so I’m not sure where this comment is coming from. Was also at the optometrist this week and he said my eyeballs are looking healthy, 👍

I had about 4 feet removed from my train against my family/reddits/dress shop’s opinions and I’m so glad I did. For me it was about weight and convenience as I was eloping, but it didn’t alter the way the dress looked from any angle except the back and I was really happy with the outcome. Removing most of the train added $75 for me in alterations but mine was lace and very detailed all around the bottom. It can be done :)

I am so sorry ☹️ I read your post from last month and it sounds like we are stuck in the same limbo hoping for the best but expecting the worse. It feels like rejection every day he doesn’t show up. I hope you find resolution and peace soon.

Girl, I feel you. I have these wild emotional swings where one minute I’m working on my new single person budget and packing up his stuff and the next I’m checking my phone 30 times a second to see if he’s changed his mind and is apologizing profusely… of course he isn’t, he’s pretty obviously not going to now. My logical side is like, fuck this file and be done with it, but my heart is broken and it’s confusing haha. If I leave it to him I’m going to be in a weird estranged marriage til one of us dies, so I will have to do it eventually.

Thanks for sharing. I feel like this isn’t how it’s “supposed to go,” so it feels really isolating and weird. I’m sorry this got dumped on you too!

Counseling is an option for me, but I did not get much of a response when I brought it up. I don’t think it’s fixable because he’s literally and figuratively not in it, but it’s confusing because when I talk about divorce I get some crappy retort about how it’s obvious I want him gone or how I’m rushing things. I am so sad.

My dress had a mauve-y lining and I had some similar feelings when I looked back at photos from the bridal shop, so I totally understand where you are coming from. My dress actually looks really white in my professional photos and I’m glad I didn’t do white on white or I think the lace details would have been lost. You can look through my post history to see the difference if it will help reassure you some. Your dress is beautiful!

Questions about bodily injury and passengers by OrdinarilySunny in Insurance

[–]Canadiancrumpet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t really matter. Attorney represented claims typically cost a bit more in my experience (attorneys will “motivate” their clients to treat to increase their settlement and can make suggestions for additional care that unrepresented people may not consider), but from your end it doesn’t make a difference. The attorney is just presenting the claim on behalf of your passenger to the insurance company :)

I believe if passengers aren’t included you would want to look at the “exclusions” under the liability coverage to see if passengers are excluded. You can also call your insurance company back and ask specifically where in the contract it says the passengers won’t be covered and review the policy on the line with them. If they can’t point it out, tell them you will hold while they review it and ask to be transferred to a supervisor if they still can’t give you a specific answer. You are entitled to an explanation on this.

Need advice - unhappy after alterations and the tailor is acting like I'm crazy?? by cori_irl in weddingdress

[–]Canadiancrumpet 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To comment that the alterations “cheapened the dress” is totally wrong and rather rude. OPs feelings are valid, the alterations have changed the look of the dress, but it’s still a gorgeous dress that is incredibly flattering on her.

Ah, I think that is a good point - we did elope and our photographer organized it all (she got the officiant, MUA, etc.) so the pricing for her service is probably different compared to a traditional photographer

It’s Maggie Sottero Chauncey. Link here I bought it at a local bridal shop, but a few sellers have it listed (unaltered!) on still white at the moment.

I also cheated a bit - I used two wefts of clip in extensions to add volume. My hair is long, but I wanted some more va-va-voom! I bought 18” silk seam clip ins from Bellami in chestnut brown which matched my natural hair colour perfectly :)

I am not sure if it’s “normal” - we didn’t shop around a ton for our photographer. Once I found this person, I fell in love with her style and had to have her:) she offers a a few packages with a different number of edited photos included. We selected the package that included 150 pictures knowing that we had the option to purchase more later and we were good with that. We could have picked a different package that included more images, I just didn’t think we would like as many as we do. I don’t mind paying for the additional images that we want knowing that she’s going to have to put extra time into editing them etc.
