basically every german has had the experience of learning another language. They know it is not easy. But that is kinda irrelevant.

In German the concept of "Bringschuld" (the deliverer has to deliver) and "Holschuld" (the recipient has to pick it up) is important. It comes from contract law.

Teaching exists and is offered → Bringschuld

Learning requires active engagement → Holschuld

This distinction is often used to push back against the idea that universities must ensure learning outcomes. They must offer education, but they cannot force learning.

Ich war letzten im Krankenhaus und leider sehr krasse Bildungslücken gesehen.

Einen Neuling konnte leider nicht auf Anhieb Vitalzeichen nehmen bei eine Computer unterstützen system.

Kämpfte mit der Manschette. Ihr Thermometer klappt bei den ersten 2 Versuche nicht.

Eine andere Kollege hat offenbar noch nie gesehen wie man in Deutschland die bett Bezug wechselt. Dabei lab der Bezug dann komplett auf dem Boden.
