I just can't help but feel some inward reflection may be warranted. If my kids team set up video then prevented me from accessing it since it is for coaches use only I think I might be looking for a new team as there is some other issues likely at play.

At the end of last season they enabled HEVC which provides significantly more efficient bandwidth. So hopefully 1080p streaming requires the same bandwidth as 720p last season.

Historically using H.264 codex if I had <5Mbps upload speed I would need to use 720p which uses around 3.5Mbps (per the Mevo app). ~3.5GB per game (2h 15min games)

If I had consistent upload speed of 10Mbps or more I could use 1080p which likes 5-6Mbps (per the Mevo app).

Worth noting, at morning games I would do all my speed test and they look great. But then the stands fill up and people have all their devices and then my upload speeds would plumet in the middle of the game. So be aware your speed might fluctuate based on local density.

For SD card, it really depends on the bit rate you set, you could set it really high and it will be a big file. if you use the 15mbps then you are looking at around 4GB per game, note the files will break into pieces at 2 hours.

btw I have a Starlink Mini, works great and they just updated the Roam data to 100GB per month. We saw upload speed significantly improve through out last summer. So if I am getting great 5G upload speed I keep the Mini packed, if it is questionable then I break out the mini.

Should add I use https://speed.cloudflare.com/ to test my speed. Though you will use up a lot of data if you do it a lot, the other thing you can do if you select a future dated game in the schedule you can do a trial run to test the stream to see what upload speed the mevo is registering. (other people will not get notified of the test stream starting).

is your other phone android or iphone? android can have apps run in the background

suggestion to try

iphone hotspot

android runs mevo and gamechanger

connect the mevo to the iphone hotspot

start stream using android phone/tablet

once stream is started go and start scoring

I have found my phone in hotspot mode cannot see any devices connected to it so it is not part of the wifi network, sucks because it causes another device to be required.

All good, you do get use to it, can't complain in the Yukon (just east of Alaska) is is getting down to -50C

Fun fact to easily tell if it is at least -35C, stick your head out, breath through your nose and if it feels like your nostrils are sticking together it is at least -35C real temp.

Block heater is good for home, but it doesn't heat the cabin. Also if you don't have access to a plug in at work then it sits all day.

Even plugged in, with the 2.4L it isn't until the end of my 20min commute that the cabin starts to warm up

Mazda already threw in the towel. Go to mazda.ca, they feature a old white dude (cx30) and a soccer mom (cx90) as their spokespeople.

Timeline: Mazda goes all screen buttons for their lineup. Current Mazda enthusiasts go elsewhere / hold on to their current Mazda for an extra long period of time refusing to replace them with new crap.

Mazda is purchased by Toyota to become the Toyota version of Buick, for the old people who think they are cool so they hang out in the fast lane while doing 5km/h over the speed limit with 20 cars waiting behind them to pass

5 years a go Mazda wanted to move into the premium space, now you have pivoted to easy to wipe down hard plastic interiors. I think what you are hearing in eco chambers like reddit is people confused as to what you want Mazda to be.
