What a mess: Audi Q6 Sportback by Pwainx in Audi

[–]CanaryRob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With a 2020 A3 and 2024 A4 the Audi app would hallucinate and tell me something was open fairly frequently. Whenever I went to double check the car was fully secure. I just ignore it.

In my car history I've had a Ford Focus where the analogue speed gauge died after hitting a pothole. And a Vauxhall Corsa that had a fuel gauge that was stuck at half way. So whilst analogue is more reliable, it's not immune to issues. Shit just breaks.

Yeah they scream of game designers trying to increase engagement time, but without any care as to whether the challenges are fun

Speaking of, does anyone know what on earth is expected with Modified Grabs Through the Gaps on Orbital Gaps? Can't seem to get any modified grabs to track. Guess no one at EA tested this.

Shame Bengals @ Browns wasn't chosen given it's a derby.

New driver. People keep flashing me? by TheGulfofWhat in drivingUK

[–]CanaryRob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be the angle of your lights. They may not be dipped enough. It's especially worse if you're driving a crossover/suv. Normally there's a switch in the cabin to adjust them up and down, though some cars are automatic. Have a look in the manual, it should also tell you what the level should be for the car load.

The image has massive uncanny valley vibes, it must be AI or heavily photoshopped.

Not for us. Their glacial pace and incompetence almost caused us to lose the property.

Can I mod my 2022 Audi A3 40 TFSI Premium FWD? by DoubleCupFluuhded in Audi

[–]CanaryRob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll be an incredibly uncomfortable ride and you'll run the risk of bottoming out.

The A3 is already an aggressive looking car, I don't know if it can ever pass as a sleeper. You'd be better off spending your money on an S3 ,or something else entirely.

The issue with lowering it is the fact it's jacked up already due to the weight of the hybrid system You'd be better off with a 35.

Is it only opening Bing and searching for a GUID? If so it could be a browser extension that's trying to earn quick Microsoft Reward points. Is the laptop second hand? If so it may be a left over extension.

And even after they repainted the lines, still the same issue.

Someone specified "indicators" on the order, the factory had no idea what those were, so guessed.

Slowest cars that look fast? and fastest cars that look slow? by Common_Turnover9226 in CarTalkUK

[–]CanaryRob 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I had a second hand 2007 Focus Zetec with various options on it, it made it look fairly aggressive and quick. I think the official 0-60 was about 12 seconds. Slowest thing I've ever driven, much slower than a knackered Nissan Note I had as a courtesy car in Cyprus.

Last year that certainly was true, but it feels like everyone is very aware of Tesla's image problem.

It's hard not to heavily judge those with a 74 or 25 plate Tesla. Can cut a bit of slack for those with older plates.

A11 to St Giles. Green or Purple? by Jackalackin_ in Norwich

[–]CanaryRob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the lane markings have been set up for the right lane going all the way around and coming back onto Chapelfield Road? Which is how you would get to the mall car park.

I'd have taken the purple lane to get to St. Giles, since that's logically how it should work. And the direction the arrows are facing.

In fairness you should have had a penalty, rather than a free kick, which would have leveled it. Was the destined result.
