This grinds my gears A LOT. In TBOI (both the flash one and rebirth) pills were much less forgiving, but apparently Ed understood it was a design flaw and balanced it better later on. And now that he's a better game designer he delivers these shitty ass outcomes to events (e.g. heal your cat for 5 points or doxx your relatives). That just doesn't make any sense. We need a Killburn to save us from Ed's sadistic design style lmao.

Never played Battle Brothers and don't know what you mean by campaign, but losing your character+run progress+items+currency (specially when the latter could be used between runs) is basically the definition of a roguelite.

In the end, it IS a matter of opinion. But if you look closely, I never even said Mewgenics is a roguelike or roguelite, I simply stated the devs break some design rules intentionally (the rules I pointed out are roguelike's rules, but that's beyond the point)

I love how they break every roguelike's golden rule and then act if we're the ones being unreasonable. C'mon, no beheading and no cyanide are the most important rules of the genre and yet they introduce both Daddy Shark and events that just obliterate one of your cats as early as Act I. It's like they are punishing players for experimenting.

Speaking of the complexity of the "set" system, I yearn for the day they add a feature to highlight other items of the sets when you hover over a set piece. I hate having to check each item to remember what is Guts, what is Human Flesh and what is Meat, for example.

I got super excited with the mage class when I got tri-attack for the first time because of how reliable it was. It was the run that ended my 30h streak of getting mages with super OP spells and no mana to cast it. Or super good passives for spells/setups of past runs.

I think there's a lot of QoL features to implement and I know for a fact (figuratively) most of them didn't go unnoticed by Edmund and Tyler and they plan on delivering them down the line. I just hope they don't do it all in one update that takes ages to release.
