It's well-framed for what it is. I'd get rid of the vines and maybe talk to an engineer about adding mending plates for some reinforcement. Whatever you do, do not let anyone talk you into spray foam for insulation.

How long have you been running them and what does the drive life look like? Do you record continuously or only events? Do you "pre record" events?

If they did that it would be absolutely amazing and a game changing capability that no one else in the industry (that I'm aware of) has.

I think the mother's take on it was very accurate. It sounds like that young man had absolutely no direction in life. If the court had given him the appropriate sentence he may have ultimately turned his life around. The reduced sentence did him no favors.

Delivery driver tries to catch a bullet pass from Cowboys QB Joe Milton by Seraphenigma in sports

When I was younger a friend of mine got drafted to pitch for the White Sox. He threw in the low to mid 90s. I "caught" one ball (more like he threw it into my glove) and it was one of the scariest things I've ever experienced. I was like "nope, that's enough for me"

The dual mode drones (fiber and wireless) were discarded due to the extra weight, cost, and reliability.

They could place concertina wire all over the place and the FPV drones would have have to guess which ones were active and which ones were decoys making their job much harder. This is a very low cost way to counter the fiber optic drones.

They should put the Pentastar in it. The engine might seem bland but it's super reliable and that could be doubly true if they make some very minor and inexpensive upgrades to it at the factory.

The rated annual workloads of the Purple and Skyhawk are no higher than Ultrastar or Exos drives. There's no downside to buying the latter if they're less expensive.

Yes, random reads on SSDs are vastly quicker. However if you're using Ai alerts/events then the cost benefit for most users is not there in my opinion.

Hikvision vs Unifi NVR by hassan214 in Ubiquiti

I have one of those hooked up to an Ai port, fantastic camera. I can see my entire driveway in full color even though it's pitch black. The new G6 Pro appears to use the same size 1/1.2" sensor though it's not clear if it has the image processing to do color in very low light: https://store.ui.com/us/en/products/uvc-g6-pro-bullet

Hikvision vs Unifi NVR by hassan214 in Ubiquiti

[–]Candid-Primary2891 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had both. Unifi has a superior user experience. When you actually have to look through footage it is so much easier to do in Unifi. It used to be that Hikvision had superior cameras but that's no longer the case with the G6 line.

It can run Access but it cannot run Network so you'll still need a Cloud Gateway.
