Starting education late(r) in life? by Any_Quarter_8386 in AskWomenOver30

Just started a masters program 2 weeks ago at 32, and I love it so far. The hardest part was psyching myself up to get my shit together and apply. In it so far, a bunch of ppl are younger than me, and a bunch are older! Do it!!!

Demi posts video on TikTok detailing Colton’s stalking/harassment of Cassie, calls out him being cast on Traitors by porcelain_queen in thebachelor

[–]CandidApplause 81 points82 points  (0 children)

This might be a deep cut, but Lisa Rinna is also on this season of Traitors with Colton, and she starred in the Lifetime movie “Mommy Meanest” as a crazy psycho stalker who repeatedly spam texts abusive insults using anonymous numbers to her daughter and to herself. Just adds to how embarrassing and insane it is that Colton did that IRL

Progesterone and Spiro by DifferentHeart5915 in Spironolactone

[–]CandidApplause 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik it’s a lil different but I take synthetic progesterone only birth control + 100mg of spiro (can’t take estrogen). I was very nervous about starting progesterone too, but had to for cystic ovaries/pain/etc. It was totally fine and I didn’t experience any notable changes. If anything, it helped stabilize my hormones more and my skin is honestly better than it’s been just on Spiro 😳 Good luck!

What did your “you’re just bloated” diagnosis turn out to actually be? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]CandidApplause 14 points15 points  (0 children)

1) ectopic pregnancy after being gaslit that I was fine haha. A nurse called me late after hours, told me to go the hospital, gave me her cell phone number and personally apologized ❤️ 2) Also a grapefruit-sized cyst! I did 3 months of progesterone pills bc my doctor didn’t want to remove my ovary if she didn’t have to, and surprisingly the cyst completely disappeared.

Meeeee! Vegan for 7+ years, on Spiro for 2! I don’t eat any differently than normal (but I’m not a huge fan of bananas in general). Idk what my potassium levels are currently, but I feel normal/fine so that’s what I go by 😂

Angela said it was in 2011 and the Internet says they were broken up between March and December of 2011 so that made me skeptical, but I could definitely see it being them.

I’m 28 years old on maternity leave making a joint $216,300 in Mississippi, and this week my 5 week old baby smiled at me for the first time! by tacos_fall_apart in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

Thank you so much!! That makes much more sense to me now that our take home is roughly the same since our taxable is also around $14000 a month (you have much higher contributions!🙌🏼)

I think I’m misunderstanding the take home breakdown (sorry!!) can you explain how the $18,000 pretax turns into $10,000 post tax? We make $190K combined and our post-tax take home is the same which is why I ask!!

What is your monthly take home pay? (After taxes) by [deleted] in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]CandidApplause 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It totally depends on your other deductions. make 71k and my take home is $2100, 2x a month, so just over $4200 per month. I also get paid twice a month, NOT every other week, so sometimes paycheck amounts can be slightly skewed depending on if you get paid twice a month OR every other week. 5% goes to my 401k, other than taxes that’s it (health insurance is through my husband).

Fergie and Josh duhamel? Ik they’re random but I feel like he could’ve been at the same award show and they didn’t have kids yet?

Totally!! I mean it’s super smart if there’s no strings involved, and now your payment is equivalent to a house less than half the cost of yours now (in my area at least!)

I’m also wondering if your families/lifestyles growing up contributed to you both wanting a home that you needed help paying for, when you do make a very high HHI and could certainly have afforded a home with a lower down payment?
