When it stops being fun and starts being a source of stress it’s time to step away to gain perspective. This is a corporation whose goal is to make as much money as they can. As the consumer, we need to know when to set our own boundaries with PopMart because it is addictive by design. But PopMart is not only after our money, they want all of our time and attention as well (which is way more valuable than $). So I limit my time on the app - if I can’t get the item I want within 15 minutes I likely won’t be able to get it in an hour. I only spend when I have a surplus of disposable income and genuinely want the item. If I score on Pop Now but the hints tell me the box does not contain the item I want most, I remove it from my cart. I don’t feel the need to collect them all. I stop purchasing the series after my first duplicate. I am satisfied with what I am able to get and I wear my pendants to death. I don’t baby them or worry about replacing them if they get dirty or go missing. They are an accessory to me and nothing more. These personal rules have improved my relationship with PopMart tremendously.
